This fancy hat did its work, taking us on many magical adventures. We found beautiful storms, deviant rabbits, bumblebee monkeys … And someone lost his red pants.

On the Friday night of that tenth year, I wore this fancy hat atop the Robot Heart. And we went on our greatest adventure of them all."

Hoj - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2014

The thing I love most about Burning Man is no matter how much you think you've prepared, you still never really know what to expect. The uncertainty, the excitement, the apprehension, and sometimes even the fear of what's just around the corner is what keeps so many of us coming back every year with a renewed childlike wonder - a feeling that seems to slip away as we get older. Sometimes everything goes right, and sometimes things just go wrong. 2014 was a mixed bag for me with some high highs (spending time with amazing people, getting to DJ in the best place in the world, seeing some incredible forms of expression) and low lows (namely falling hard on my back off of a see-saw putting me in constant pain for the entire week - it even hurt to laugh!)...but at the end of the day, I got exactly what I bargained for and couldn't ask for anything more: I experienced the unexpected.

In contrast to the previous two years on the bus, this year I played first on Friday night and took a little sonic stroll around different sounds and moods to open the night before Bedouin beautifully escalated the night into proper party mode...Pardon any sloppy mixing, we can just blame that on my aching back :)

Thanks to everyone who was there early in the night to catch my set, and thanks to everyone listening at home, Robot Heart, and Dr Burridge for the continued support over the years...Having the opportunity to do what I do is such a great gift from all of you.

I´ve never been to a place like this before! The magic, love and spiritual atmosphere, is what life is all about and the world should be like this everywhere and forever. This year I came back with a bench of new produced tunes, to give back what this place means to me from the first sight. That I got the chance to present my work of the last months at the Robot Heart Bus was a huge honor for me. About Jenner: 
Jenner (AKA – The Dark Princess) started her musical journey in 2002 when she discovered an after hours club in Berlin, Germany with fellow backpackers. It was at this moment that Jenner began her love affair with underground electronic music. From 2002 to 2007, Jenner regularly attended Toronto’s night clubs and after hours that hosted many of today’s biggest DJ’s in the scene but it wasn’t until 2008 that Jenner bought her first set of CDJs and mixer, and began honing her skills as a DJ.
Since then, Jenner has played many Toronto clubs and events, including Coda, Summerdaze/Bespoke Experience, and Promise Cherry Beach. Her upcoming debut on the Mayan Warrior at Burning Man 2018 is slated to top her list of most memorable events, in addition to Camp Summerdaze and Harvest Music Festival.
Jenner is known for her deep infectious ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, hypnotic melodies, and perfectly selected vocals to captivate her audience further. Deeper. Darker. There is an excitement on the dance floor that’s palpable when Jenner gets on the decks. Close your eyes and feel the energy through the music.

DHV Podcast 18.42 - Jenner (Burning Man Decompression Mix)

I’m happy to present you what happened to be a true adventure & a musical highlight for me this year, Journey to Tarab 2019.

The story takes place in two chapters, recorded on the Drachen Nest Saturday night in Zsambek, Hungary.

CHAPTER I

It’s 7:45pm and I’m in the DJ booth of the Drachen Nest, my equipment is connected and I’m ready to play. In the center of the dancefloor, a beautiful tandem are performing live with a super cozy setup & I discover the talented duo Ameli Paul. The stage manager gives me a sign that it’s their last song, and I have my intro tracks and samples selected - I’m ready to go and ecstatic to play. 

As my first track is playing, it only takes a few minutes before the wind blows dark and dense clouds hover above our heads. The rain starts pouring; showers. I look down for only a few seconds to mix in the next song but by the next time I look up, everyone has vanished.

A small group of people with the most vibrant energy came to seek shelter in the booth and it truly cheers me up. I’m so excited to be there and I know that such heavy rain won’t last long, staying optimistic that people will come back.

As the rain calms down, people come back, one by one. Umbrellas, raincoats, mud & smiles. The crowd continues to grow and I get to meet my dance floor one person at a time. The rain has stopped. The Drachen is blowing smoke while the sun disappears & I feel the dance floor is finally in symbiosis. I evolve tempo by a few BPM & as my most energetic track of the set drops…

B L A C K O U T. No sound, no light, it is total darkness on the dance floor, a complete power outage.
