A study in contrasts, The Slow Revolt is lush, romantic lyricism tied to art-school high concept; tight beats coupled with wild guitar abstractions; and a stunning voice that stays with you long after the music fades.

First made visible via his rework of Patten's Peachy Swan, The Slow Revolt's first single, This Dark Matter / Doldrums was two hymns to a dead affair that struck a chord with XfM, Clash, 6music and Radio1 - as well as earning the support slot for MMOTHS recent tour, Ofei, America's Balmorhea, and Max Cooper and Ghosting Season. 

At first, one man carving out his own rough territory outside today's increasingly formulaic electronica, The Slow Revolt now performs as a two-piece - two expert musicians sparring across live loops, precision triggered beats, guitar, and that voice.

Melodica’s head Chris Coco launches “My Summer Mixtape 2014”,his second annual selection of Balearic music for the summer season from artists on his Melodica label.
The compilation covers a broad range of genres, from Dub and Electronica, to Leftfield and Bass Music, from Drum N Bass to Nu Disco and puts together some of the label’s best artists and few Chris' good friends into this uplifting Balearic journey.

Come In We're Melodica: Year one of Melodica Recordings remixed and repackaged for total consumer satisfaction!
Wow! Melodica Recordings is one. To celebrate this momentous event I have sent some of our favourite releases on the label to some of our favourite artists, on the label and elsewhere, for a retake, a look back, a flash forward, a new version of the original. It's helped to make the creative family feel that I was after at the start of this process to feel real, we're all swapping ideas and tunes now, helping each other to grow and surprising each other with great new sounds.
If you enjoy these tunes don't forget to track back to the original releases, all still there on the digital stores, waiting for you with open arms. Year two is going to be even more exciting, with fresh, young bands, crazy party events in tents and basements, plenty of proper quality albums on vinyl (with a free download too).
