Rich Tavares vom Cetama Kollektiv war so lieb uns seinen Mitschnitt zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Schon in jungen Jahren begeisterte sich der Köpenicker für elektronische Musik. 
Als Mitbegründer des Cetama Kollektiv’s fasste er schnell Fuß und seine ersten Bookings in und um Berlin ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. 
Neben seinem Soloprojekt startete er zusammen mit Lucas Tesoin das Projekt “TNT”.
Genauso facettenreich wie er selbst, ist auch seine Musik.
Dieses Mal können wir uns auf treibenden Minimal Techno freuen!

Ok sorry the title is a bit of a clickbait... I don't care how any DJ plays his or her records. But when browsing my old vinyl collection I realised there're not only some gems inside worth playing again but a good amount of personal hits which I still remember in a positive way, every one with a little story in my head. All from around 2005 to 2007 besides two younger exceptions. I didn't mix vinyl for around 10 years and it was much fun putting the needle on the record again even if it's not 100% tight, I enjoyed every transition and the feeling of the sleeves and vinyls in my hands.

How many people do you know who take up DJing in their late 60s? How many of these DJs play hard, dark and deep techno? And how many are actually really fucking good? The answer is one – Robot Bennett.

The Robot is a wonderful, incredible anomaly. His love of electronic music stretches back to the early 90’s, when he tasted first hand the fabled golden era of techno clubs in Berlin where he has lived since 1982. He was at the Loveparade. He danced in the warehouses and basements, revelled at the festivals, and absorbed all of this influence from one side of the equation.

A lifelong musician, he balanced his passion alongside a career as a therapist and yoga teacher. During a group session he was playing one of his own techno mixes, and a well known club promoter just happened to be part of the group. The promoter was so impressed by his selections that he suggested he try his hand at DJing. It was the spark that lit the bonfire.

Soon after, Robot started using his Ableton Live programme for mixing techno rather than recording his songs. He picked up an APC 40 Mk II controller and he was off. Within no time he had his first booking, in the hallowed splendour of the Hammahalle at Sisyphos no less. More bookings followed for esteemed Berlin institutions like Gretchen, Jonny Knüppel, Keller, Mensch Meier and Rummelsbucht.

Robot Bennett plays hard techno – a dark and sometimes ominous sound interspersed with some lighter tunes and the occasional vintage track.

Robot Bennett also plays 60’s and early 70’s classic psychedelic rock. He has enjoyed playing the music of his youth at Nation of Gondwana, Hans & Gloria, Mensch Meier, Rummelsbucht and at New Years parties 2016 and 2017 in Sisyphos.
