Wenn ich groß bin werde ich Italiener!

Opening the Tunnel in Sisyphos on 30th July 2022 with all of my children present (see picture). My daughter SJ visiting with her boyfriend from Mexico where they live, asked me to play in Sisyphos whilst they were here for a short time this summer. Thanks to my friend Tobi Dei it worked out. At 12 noon on a Saturday there were not many people in the club but we all had a good time anyway. This is the set I played, some of my favourite tracks included as well as my own remixes of 'Spoon' by Can and 'Tomorrow Never Knows' at the end by the Beatles.

YEAH YEAH – endlich wieder Resocast :-)
Diesmal mit Naozou, der uns mit seinem Set auf dem Zugvøgel Festival so sehr begeistert hat, dass wir ihn hinterher direkt auf einen Reso-Cast festgenagelt haben. Freude beiderseits – ist Naozou doch ein ganz junges, neues Projekt:

Nach zwei spontanen Festival Gigs im vergangenen Jahr und viel Zuspruch, ist 2022 entgültig die Entscheidung getroffen worden, ein neues Split-DJProjekt ins Leben zu rufen, bei dem die Musik  je nach Party und Venue, zumindest vom Tempo, nicht unterschiedlicher sein könnte. Auf der einen Seite wird die Techno Bubble ab sofort mit einem Künstler unterstützt, der es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, Freund*innen von deepen, hypnotischen und treibenden Techno mit auf eine Reise zu nehmen und der auf der anderen Seite, unter selben Namen, in die Welt der Downtempo Musik eintauchen wird.
Für das erste Lebenzeichen meldet sich Naozou mit einem Techno Set, welches die Richtung für alles weitere  vorgibt. Seine Affinität für progressive Psytrance-Elemente sowie für düstere und trippig-hypnotische Sounds sollte dabei stets für jede*n erkennbar sein.

@kataya_official s a DJ living in Berlin. At the age of six, Kataya discovered her passion for music, she started to learn different instruments and play autodidactic. Due to her great talent, she then attended a music school and played in a classical orchestra. This had a great influence on her view of music as a very social art, including the role of producer and consumer at the same time. In the late 90s, her brother introduced her to Berlin genres such as techno, urban music and more. Inspired by rhythm and the soul of the matter, she developed new ideas and deep understanding of the subject.
2017 she had her first gig at one of the Berlin’s biggest music events, the Carnival of Cultures. Since the spark was ignited, she and her music have been a self-starter. Her social thinking, mixed with her sensitive sense for certain vibrations, manages to connect with the soul of the dance floor like a dream catcher. From deep baselines and wonderful melodies to epic vocals, groovy sub-bases and dirty tunes, she always knows what's hot.

Lenia (Gassen aus Zucker)

Lenia (ursprünglich Leña – spanisch für Brennholz) ist seit 2013 auflegend unterwegs und beehrt vor allem die Tanzflächen Wiens und Berlins. Ein Wintergarten hat sie damals zum (Tech-)House bekehrt und die vorangehende Trance-Phase abgelöst. Bei ihren DJ Sets darf es außer bouncig auch mal bisschen deeper und darker sein, solange der Groove stimmt und genügend Percussions und Hi-Hats im Spiel sind. Die gebürtige Wienerin ist außerdem begeisterte b2b Auflegende, wie sich an der Playlist ihres Soundcloud Profils ablesen lässt. MIt dem Kollektiv Gassen aus Zucker veranstaltet Lenia seit bald 10 Jahren indoor und outdoor Events, gestaltet Festivalbühnen oder engagiert sich für (kultur-)politische Anliegen.

Robot Bennett – “Book me before I die”

How many people do you know who take up DJing in their late 60s?  And how many are actually really good? The answer is one – Robot Bennett.

The Robot is a wonderful, incredible anomaly. His love of electronic music stretches back to the early 90’s, when he tasted first hand the fabled golden era of techno clubs in Berlin where he has lived since 1982. He was at the Loveparade. He danced in the warehouses and basements, revelled at the festivals, and absorbed all of this influence from one side of the equation.

A lifelong musician, he balanced his passion alongside a career as a body therapist and yoga teacher. During a group breath work session he was playing one of his own techno mixes and a club booker just happened to be part of the group. The booker was so impressed by Robot's mix that he suggested he try his hand at DJ'ing. It was the spark that lit the bonfire.

Robot Bennett uses Ableton Live with an APC 40 Mk II controller for DJ'ing.

He plays hard techno – a dark and sometimes ominous sound interspersed with some lighter tunes and the occasional vintage track.

Robot Bennett also plays 60’s and early 70’s classic psychedelic rock. He has enjoyed playing the music of his youth at Nation of Gondwana, Hans & Gloria, Mensch Meier, Rummelsbucht, Bucht der Träumer and at New Years parties in Sisyphos.
