I've an odd format - I pick 16 new tracks each week, mostly from ZipDJ, and put them together to make a set, I don't pick tracks which go together, just what I really like. The roots of this sound are deep and nourishing, sprouting from a childhood home reverberating with the sounds of big band, jazz, showtunes, classical, and the pop and rock anthems of the 1960s. This diverse musical upbringing birthed an eclectic taste in the young DJ, who, as a teenager, was magnetically drawn to the burgeoning world of electronic music. The 1980s saw them at the heart of the scene, spinning tracks at house parties and crafting mixtapes that were the analog precursors to today's playlists.

A pivotal relocation to the UK in 2010 marked the discovery of a new realm of sound—underground house music.
