"Kolyma" is the titel of Formel's first release on Einmusika Recordings. Like the river does, the sound wents wide open, running with power towards big freedom, without loosing the origin. Mystic and gently with mind-blowing claps and vocals on it. This is the starter on our next 4 track ep. Slower here, with unexspected power there and always with a natural deepness in it.  

Our label mate Piek did an outstanding remix of "Kolyma" which brings the sound to the floor with catchy baselines and dark synths. "Sapato" is funky and based on catchy guitar melodies - the summer is back. The sound is bright and your feet are casting the warm sand aside. Confusing while gripping - last but not least we have Formel's "Sugoy" for you. Something between oriental and dark club music, a track with big moments and smart breaks, long lasting, with an open end. And than we start where it all began.

After the dynamo sophomore release that was 2013's "Curiosities", New Zealand's Lord Echo returns to Brooklyn's Bastard Jazz label, this time producing Kiwi trio The Elder Statesman comprised of twin brothers and Wellington fixtures Christopher (piano) and Daniel (double bass) Yeabsley with Lord Echo himself on percussion and drums.

On the "A" side, Montreux Sunrise is mellow meander through a laidback early 70s souljazz vibes, while "Trans Alpine Express" picks things up on the B side with a deep, spiritual piano groove, upfront doublebass, and Echo's percussion perfectly in the pocket.

A timeless gem of a 7" from Bastard Jazz, releasing their own namesake for once!

The Headless Ghost trilogy out on Tamed Musiq comes to a close with the EP ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost, the analogue and 100% hardware project from Raphael Gros aka Ripperton has already seen him put out 2 acclaimed EP’s ‘Out’ and ‘77’. This third installment easily carries on their reputation with two remixes from fellow Swiss producers Deetron and Agnes. ‘Let’s Fall’ is easy to listen to, but in no way compromising the complexity of the productions, each remixer manages to bring a totally different angle to Headless Ghost’s ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost’s original first track Let’s Fall has an almost mechanic atmosphere certainly fitting with the mode of production. Let’s fall skips through staccato samples and pounding basslines, the track is raw and dark without losing its melody 
Deetron’s remix is a bouncing re-appropriation of Headless Ghost’s original track that maintains many of the same characteristics be it re-produced in a slightly lighter and higher sounding tone. 
Agnes creates a languid rolling version of ‘Let’s Fall’, chopping and changing the placing of the samples in the track she maintains an almost lazy rhythm throughout
