Hot on the heels of our last EP we're delighted to present our latest release. Something a bit different, but still very much representing the psybreaks sound, Flow is a 2 track EP featuring a new track by us and a remix by the super talented Incredible Science.

Our original is first up. Flow opens with an ethereal guitar riff and slowly builds as psychedelic sounds interlace with acoustic instruments, while a pumping bassline underpins the groove. It's still dancefloor friendly psybreaks but showcases a softer side to the Monk3ylogic style.

The second track on the release is a remix by a new psybreaks artist that we're really excited to be working with having been a big fan of the music he's released over the last year!

Incredible Science is a music project of Okan Çalışkan. He announced his arrival on the scene in style with his debut release coming on the mighty Nano Records in 2020, aftering winning a remix contest for Killerwatts (Avalon & Tristan). Then in 2021 he released his first album, Sense Of Being, on Mystic Sound Records.

Incredible Science creates worlds that are full of unearthly interactions and a deep sense of psychedelic flow. You can hear this as soon as you listen to the remix, with swirling effects and new elements backed up by crisp production, reinterpreting our original into something absolutely unique, but still a fusion of psytrance and breaks.

DJ Vojtyz - Fuck Your Face (Psybreak / Psychedelic Tech Funk)

So this is my first ever triplet tune, and my first ever collaboration with psybreaks rising star Bad Tango! We had a lot of fun making this. I found it interesting how by choosing a different timing grid, fresh ideas flowed much more easily than they sometimes do when using the same 4x4 grid all the time. It inspired me to start some other projects with different timing grids, and I look forward to sharing those in future. For now, I hope you enjoy this! Your comments and feedback are gratefully received as always x

Hedflux & Bad Tango - Slippery Triplet

By now you will have heard me raving on about Grouch on facebook. For me, and many others, he is one of the true masters of psychedelic music, and a hugely inspiring character! I got to spend a couple of days with him when I was in Australia earlier this year, and we played around on our laptops, producing as many cool sounds as we could in the time we had. After this, we went home and each produced a track using those sounds as the basis. This is my version, and it will be coming out on Broken Robot in December 2012. Grouch's version will be coming out sometime in 2013, i'll keep you posted!

Hi, I've been addicted to electronic music since 1987. Back then I heard Strangelove by Depeche Mode and fell in love with synths and unusual sounds of all kinds. Since then, I've always dreamed of being able to create my own synth-based music.
I am an enthusiast and a seasonal producer. I started creating with tracking software of various kinds: Impulse Tracker in DOS or Renoise in Windows, to name a few. But with trackers I always felt limited in expressing what was going on in my head. And then I discovered Ableton Live and I entered a whole new universe.

Mild-mannered (or is that ill-mannered?) Sound Engineer by day, producer by night, Roboteknic has developed his own unique style and sound by adopting influences across a broad spectrum of music including Psy-Trance, Techno, Trance and Breaks to name a few. It was in a busy UK recording studio where Roboteknic learned his mixing and mastering skills and he now applies these skills to his own productions.
