Thinking about the traffic lights and my feet, and It's hard to know where I'm gone. Thinking about the traffic lights and my dreams, but It's hard to sleep here tonight. Nobody helps me, it's a tragedy, my bed is flying down and someone tells me: "it's a fine life, it's a funny life"... the same traffic in my mind.

I chanced upon Jack Hill
Up on Wounded Knee
He’d slipped through the door
Of the Ghost Dance Wars
Where Hotchkiss mountain gun
Had done its chore 
300 unarmed Sioux
25 soldiers more

In 20 minutes
No More
He was there then gone
As if a dream


Jack Hill was no more  
Now cut free from his name
All those frozen hands
Clutching the last Lakota land
From savage business men
Torn up treaty plan
Blown across frosty sand
He was there with every other man

I saw the shadow of Jack hill
