Shlomi Aber, DJ and Producer since 1994, the owner of the well respected 'Be As One' Imprint.

Born and raised in Israel, Shlomi’s personal approach, married with years of production experience and as a DJ, takes influence from Jazz, Funk, Minimal, Acid, and in particular the old Techno movement.

On this months episode i welcome a great friend into the studio, Candy Dupree for a back to back session. Candy and I met just before lockdown in 2020 and shared a passion for the same type of music instantly. Ive always loved her style of mixing, so with both these things combined she made the perfect choice to partner up with for a show. SO happy to have shared the decks with her for this session, we loved every minute.

This month, i welcome an excellent young man to provide us with a guest mix. Ciaran was introduced to me by a mutual friend, his mixes impressed me so i thought id show the man some love and get him on the show. I love what he plays and the way he plays it, so its great to have him involved. 

The first hour is a live recording taken form a Flat 7 event earlier this year. The next event is on the 27th October where you can catch me and the other incredible residents play some of the finest techno known to mankind.

I played a private party in Helsinki two weeks ago, it was at a villa by the sea, and it was a dark and stormy night. But inside it was warm and cozy, I played a three hour set in a a darkened upstairs room, and it was so lovely to have it full of people dancing the whole time. Don't be fooled by robotic motifs – Robots With No Soul is an electronic battle cry for authenticity. The British techno renegade is driven by pit-of-the-stomach feeling. There is no boxing, packaging and mass-producing his off-kilter drum beats, raging basslines and emotive melodies. Rejecting mechanical, copy-and-paste culture for something far deeper, his music is a personal exploration into the possibilities of sound. 


Robots With No Soul quickly caught the attention of modern techno's most distinctive duo, Dense & Pika. After joining their roster to play the Watergate Berlin main room in 2018, the DJ-producer is set to release an album on their acclaimed Kneaded Pains label in 2020. But don’t believe the hype – use your ears.
