I'm really excited to bring you this remix album - I was lucky to get many of my favourite producers in the world involved in the project, and they have delivered an amazing range of music, it's a bit silly actually, how good this release is!

I was originally planning to separate it out into several releases, but when I brought all the remixes together I realised it could make an LP of it's own. I tried to order the tracks to provide some flow in this respect, from the beautiful ambience and downtempo sounds of Christian Löffler and Tom Hodge, to Rival Consoles brooding synth epic, into Vessels Aside broken melodic club track, Kimyan Law's beautifully detailed jungle break masterpiece, Patrice Baumel's massive techno remix, Ash Koosha's twisted electronica vision of Kathrin de Boerr, JoeFarr's apocalyptic darkroom disaster, John Tejada's melodic analogue beauties to wind down a little, and Hidden Orchestra's symmetrically structured huge ebb and flow remix of Symmetry to close. So much great work in there, I hope you have time to listen through and enjoy it as much as I do! And massive thanks to Christian, Tom, Ryan, Vessels, Nico, Pat, Ash, Joe, John and Hidden Orchestra for your work on this.

I apologise for making a 13 minute track with only 3 different sounds!

It's a bit of a reaction to our constant information bombardment and instant gratification music - you just need to step back from everything for a while and let it wash over for this one to work.

The whole thing is hinged on a sequence of 4 notes playing at different rates forwards and in reverse using Alexander Randon's Fugue Machine. It's a simple pattern but it grabbed me and made me want to strip the track back to the minimum possible number of elements to focus on the pattern.

I think we pick up on the fact that there's an interesting pattern hiding in there in the simplicity. The fast riff that opens up is a classic Juno 6 sound too, which also made me want to put it out there unadulterated. I gave in eventually and added one percussive element and some extra chord layers, but you have to wait about 8 minutes for that.

It's certainly not for everyone, but I hope it works for you...it gets pretty intense too btw, but I guess you've had that before from me.
