Spreading nothing but positive vibes… Robsoul sign out of 2022 and commence 2023 with the best possible intention: ‘These Happy Feelings’, an EP that truly embodies its title in every possible way. 
It comes courtesy of a true New Jersey pioneer Richard Les Crees, a talent who came through on that phenomenal 80s wave as a DJ and translated that unique energy into productions under the name of Filthy Rich throughout the 90s on labels such as Distance. 
These productions had a direct influence on the Robsoul boss Phil Weeks himself so this release is a poignant moment as Richard completes the circle and makes his label debut. Digging deep into the most soulful and uplifting corners of his palette, it’s a resounding EP that belies the frosty winter temperatures. From the big vocal harmonies of the title track to the much heavier, jacking funk of the finale jam ‘What We ‘Bout To Do’, this covers the full range and reminds us that the best pioneers will always look to bring a different perspective and technique. Stunning from edge to edge. Stay happy.

Robsoul reaches across the pond once again as LA house purveyor, Mikey V, returns to the label with three brand-new bumpin’ jams on his 'Closer' EP.
Rasping snares, shuffling hats and soulful vocal chops underpin the title track ‘Closer’, before a hollowed out bassline and synth stabs launch the track skywards from its breakdown.
Mikey sends us into 'Freefall’ on the flip with a skippier, lighter touch, but also a wobbling, swollen bassline that hits hard. Final cut 'Stay High’ matches the club-bound bump,  with a full-fire jazz ensemble of cascading keys and dancing sax, working together to deliver some major fancy footwork appeal.

GONNi Grooves is a show where I play the music that I love the most as I'll be searching for a sweetspot between deep house and deep tech music. Throwing smooth flowing mixes with deep, warm basslines I'll always try to give a drive to dance to.

So the story behind the name is that when I ask people what they are into these days the response I get is always “well, its like house, but…..” and then they go on to describe loads of different sub genres in rolled into one, trying to make out that its something new when really they could just say house in the first place, so its kind of a playful joke on that whole genre situation these days, basically saying…. Its all just house music haha.
