I had been thinking about Frank Herbert's No-Ships from his Dune books. I imagined myself alone in such a ship, invisible to the universe outside.

I initially created a purely synth based track but wasn't satisfied with it, so I played around with various ambient Apple loop guitar sounds and then thought that the track sounded super chilled...I hope you like it.

Classic Incantations – The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg performs A. R. Rahman is a studio recording of the five-city concert tour, exclusively presented by Lapp, a leading cable and connectivity solutions company. This musical extravaganza for the first time, showcased over a hundred orchestral musicians as they performed live in India as part of 0the collaborative celebration titled “Germany and India 2011-2011: Infinite Opportunities”

The tour coincided with the celebration of the centenary year of Studio Babelsberg, the world’s oldest film studio located in Germany, and Indian cinema – both of which came into being in 1912. The concert debuted in Mumbai on 20th January 2012 and subsequently traveled to Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore, creating a new highpoint for music lovers across the nation.

From Roja to Robot, the 100-member strong musical alliance between the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg and students of the KM Music Conservatory, Chennai, peformed orchestral sweeps composed by A. R. Rahman for Bombay, Swades, The Rising, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and many more. Studio Recordings of a selection of these pieces are compiled in this album.

Thomas Newman - Road To Chicago

The Crown is one of my favorite series on television (or, I guess, streaming). The set design, costumes, editing and casting are just so impeccable and spot on. The music is no different. Hans Zimmer created the lovely main title theme that plays throughout the series. However, most of the music for seasons 1 and 2  was created by Rupert Gregson-Williams, a protégé of Zimmer.

This track in particular (“Duck Shoot”) includes a captivating rendition of Zimmer’s theme and is one of my favorite tracks from the entire series. This was my attempt at recreating a piece of music that’s somehow both classic and modern, perfectly highlighting the flashy visuals on screen.
