Un progressive house permisivo muy cercano al sonido afro con una percucucion muy dinámica y selecta. Con unas melodías muy profundas inspiradas en el original de Leandro , donde el toque final seria esos aires afro y etnicos arabescos.

The "One Side of the Underground" series on Proton Music has been the perfect vehicle for Rick Pier O'Neil to showcase his incomparable production skills. Now taking "Cancun" from August 2018's best-selling "Vol. 2," remixes for Yin and Yang come courtesy of Sri Lankan and Mexican artists.

Established artists in their own rights, Replicanth & Rodrigo Cortazar have created quite a stir with their production partnership. Their solo production material was recently featured on a host of high-profile imprints including BeatFreak Recordings and Balkan Connection and supported by a DJ glitterati that includes Hernan Cattaneo. First joining forces on the "Colossus Purple" track for NOPRESET Records in May 2017, the Mexican duo have gone on to feature for the likes of Natural Rhythm, Sudam Recordings and We Are Here Music.

Now making their collaborative debut on Yin, Replicanth & Rodrigo Cortazar take "Cancun" on a bouncing bass groove journey, backed by strong beat and off-kilter hats. Pad chord progressions from the original make their presence felt in richly textured layers, while additional production material, including a meandering vocal phrase, give a new focus to O'Neil's work.

'Endangered Records welcomes Avant to the label, with a 3-track EP of passionate & distinctive melodic techno.

After years of perfecting his craft in the studio, Avant makes his artist debut with the Empathic EP on Brian Cid’s Endangered label. Already a regular at famed clubs like Gewölbe and Reineke Fuchs in his hometown of Cologne, Germany, Avant’s driving rhythms and dynamic melodies are a perfect fit for the sound of Endangered.

“Spectral” is the first track of the EP and starts it off with a tribal beat, arpeggiated synth melody, and a tension building breakdown. The title track “Empathic” follows, and picks up the pace with a driving feel. A powerful melody is teased and built up throughout, with the full effect coming in after the drop. “Module” is the finale, and closes this chapter of Avant’s debut with a dark and groovy melodic chugger.

Avant describes his thoughts behind the EP and label: “I try to take the listener on a journey showcasing the different styles and facets which define my music. This ranges from my typical productions that consist of only a few elements and being very melodic & driving, to productions that include more drum and percussion elements which are more rare for me. I have been following Brian’s productions and his label activities for a long time. He attaches great importance to taking the listeners on a journey with his music, as well as with the releases selected for Endangered. This is something I try to reflect in all of my music and sets as well.”

Continuing on from last year's "connectedbeats edition1" , new faces gather, with some more familiar, all developing artists displaying a wide range of atmospheres and emotions much of which was captured over the last 6 months. Electronica mix with afro rhythms , dramatic pieces with simple moods and melodies bringing many tones of light and dark, subdued and uplifted and thoughtful then playful. The un-natural containment of this period of our lives has done nothing to stifle the creative process which unfolds over the 18 tracks of the VA.

After his recent EP on Circles & Stones, Djolee gives us another taste of his eclectic blend of sounds, although this time he decides to join forces with Apo and her powerful voice. With a percussive groove setting the right vibe from the beginning, bright pads delimiting a colourful atmosphere and energetic melodies developing side by side with the adequate set of drum sounds; Djolee achieves the right amount of tension to finally decompress with Apo's vocals, taking the listener through an euphoric journey.
