For Volume 27 of our Libero Sound podcast series we welcome Welsh brothers & label favourites Brodyr who bring an hour of percussive grooves. 

Although only started in September 2015, the seeds for the BRODYR project were planted a lot longer ago than the five years it has been in operation. Heavily influenced by some of the Balearic Island’s most recognisable faces, in particular Carl Cox and Marco Carola, BRODYR have developed their own unique style that encompasses the full techno spectrum, ranging from minimal to tech-house and everything else in between – expect Libero Sound throughout.

The first live set since the beginning of this madness, in Sonorama, Colombia, was deeply special. The joy of dance, music, and freedom must never be taken away again. Latin America has an undeniable atmosphere, which I have missed so much. Thanks for that special night.  I'm getting ready to repeat this vibe around the world. German born and Jamaican raised Melanie Ribbe is not new to the electronic music scene. 􏰁􏰂􏰚Her stimulating, groovy and precise sound discourse has led her to release on labels such as Saved, Viva Limited, Mindshake, Toolroom, Roush Label and her own Agápe Muzik. On stage Melanie is creative and eloquent, she is distinguished by her unique tech-house style that get the crowds moving, skills that have taken her to tour worldwide and play at some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world.

In these 60 minutes Melanie leads us on a penetrating tech-house journey. Made of suggestive and deep bass-lines, of organic, sensual and melodic textures, this is a perfectly structured mix, shaped by an exquisite groove.

Pipes - Network Series Ep #001 featuring BRODYR

Tilburg (the Netherlands) Based DJ and Producer Rob Stillekens (98’) began his music career in 2020.At the start of his career he won a remix competition of Mike Morrisey at ADN Records (ITA).  From that moment on he managed to release on well established labels like: Kaluki Music, Woodlands Records and Libero Records. 

Well established artist like: Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Jamie Jones, Ilario Alicante, Michael Bibi, Solardo, Franky Rizardo and many more have shown support towards rob’s music

Rob has shared lineups with artist like Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati and PAWSA to name a few and you might have seen him play at events such as FLOW, Givesoul, Heatzone and many more.

Many years of listening to all kinds of house music lead him to be creative and have variety within his own sound. Rob’s productions are especially known for their percussive heavy groove’s, deep baselines, catchy vocal hooks and unique underground sound.
