Maddjazz & Rob Threezy both hail from the southside of Chicago and have been friends for at least over 10 years. They met at the iconic Hot Jams Record store which became a common meeting ground. Around this time they both started producing Baltimore club inspired tracks and even went on to collaborate on a bootleg remix of Rick James’ “Super Freak”. Although the two have remained friends and have shared the decks many times through out the years that would be the last time they would join forces to make music, until now. Many years later Maddjazz & Rob Threezy decided to finally get back in the studio and collaborate on not just a track, but an EP. The end result is ‘Brute Trax EP’ which is a testament to how far the both them have come since the beginning of their friendship.
