Yellow & Blue - The Spivs (2005 Remix)

Another example of the dramatic torchsongs we'd loved to do. It's such a simple song, Henk Slot's keyboard plays the leading role, but listen to the amazing bassline by Peter de Wit, ab-so-lute-ly genius! This song still brings tears to my eyes after all these years, ah...nostalgia!

Mr Killmouski is the story about a local drunk I met who disappeared one day...
This recording was made at JP van der Meij's studio in Wijk aan Zee. (1999?)

We recorded a couple of songs, possible material for a new album and maybe a single. But, it wasn't to be: looking for a new sound, I broke up the band the same year.

I was devastated when Lennon died. 
He was my rolemodel when I started singing and writing, 
I still remember exactly where I was when I heared the news.
this song had to be written sometime I guess. 
I thank the guys for doing a great job. 
The backing vocals are amazing. 

I hope we made John smile...

I recorded song this in 1985, trying to start up my solo career...needless to say it never became a hitsingle. Bit of a strange idea that the girls choir now must be all 45-ish year old! I wonder if they remember this :-)

One of my homerecordings during the 80's. One of these songs that never made it further than the landing. I'd never recorded stuff with sequencers & synths, too many possibilities!  Listening to it now, it makes me smile. Kinda like the lyrics still, nothing changed I guess. Please let me know what you think & ... don't hold back ;-)
