This piece is a commissioned composition for the symposium "Brigitte Kowanz - Beyond Words".  Material and structure are thereby characterized by the use of elements such as light, language and code, which were a fundamental part of Brigitte Kowanz work.  Transposed light frequencies were used to create microtonal scales that cover the range of a minor or mayor third and contain ascending or descending inner developments. Terms like light and shadow have been integrated as Morse code, structuring the overall build and pulsation of the pieces.

Hybrid DJ set using live manipulated tape recordings. The set explores hauntological landscapes and the sheer physicality of its medium. A lazy Sunday meets a future that never came to pass.

Whispers, Hisses, Wow + Flutter

Stereo version of a 16-channel remix of the Rondo Allegretto of Cambinis‘ Flute Quartet in D-Maj. The original was sampled as a whole, heavily gated and transformed with a Granular Delay. The resulting files were manipuleted by several Pure Data patches. The Original Rondo was analysed and structurally rebuilt in slightly stretched form using the updated sounds. A heavy shift in tone was achieved, the original sweetness now being replaced by a rather physical, proprioceptive quality, a state of restless instabilty and stumbling movement.
