Frank Murillo was born in New York City and still lives and works there as a musician, producer and teacher.
The multi-instrumentalist mensions Queen, David Bowie and Santana as his biggest musical influences.
“ Letting It Rest” was originaly released in 1986 on the New York based Chapter 13 label. Frank Murillo played all the instruments and sings on this killer leftfield disco boogie cut with a heavy italo feel.
So, it’s with great pleasure that Ostra Discos presents the reissue of this awesome track!

When talking about selection, HMTW take it as far as possible. Their roots started in world music and its many strands, they've now expanded to sounds that are out of this planet. The crew is run by Gabriel Badwan and Fernando Tortelli, in their mixes you can be ready to find anything from downtempo Balearic vibes to Left-field House and more. Its creators, Gui Scott and Pino Henrique Pedra, have been well reputed as co-founders in illustrious party collectives that have music at the core of their identities and made the joy of many dancer between the “ponte aérea”: Gop Tun in São Paulo and DOMply in Rio de Janeiro respectively, and each of them imbued with the type of complementary sensibility that can turn these peculiar narratives on their own into something enthralling as a whole.

We're heading up north for our next instalment of the mix series with Sunny Side Up! Run by Sammy McCarron and Jonny Shepherd, the duo have been DJing and record collecting together for a good 8 years now. They started playing out in Liverpool where they have been long term residents for Boogaloo since its conception, gaining the chance to support some amazing DJs like Antal, Moodymann, Detroit Swindle and many more over the years. Both have now been living in Sheffield for a couple of years and started to establish themselves at different likeminded nights and parties around the city. They've also hosted a couple of their own parties by the name of 'Ritmo' but unfortunately due to COVID they have had to cancel a couple in the pipeline but as soon as this nightmare is over they will look to get things back on track and dance once again! For the mix the pair have perfectly blended a mixture downtempo boogie, funk, left-field disco and more, we are all over this sound at the moment, turn it up!!
