Hier wird die Geschichte von «His Path in the Shadows» fortgesetzt. Im Kontrast zu den Anfängen der Entstehungsgeschichte des Antagonisten, zeigt dieses Musikstück, wie die Geschichte in einer grossen Schlacht endet und der Antagonist sich doch noch für die gute Seite entscheidet. Um der Schlacht gerecht zu werden, ist die Musik entsprechend actiongeladen aufgebaut. Sie kommt nur selten zur Ruhe und widerspiegelt so den Wettlauf gegen die Zeit. Es werden viele musikalische Themen aus «His Path in the Shadows» wieder aufgegriffen und in einer epischen Variante neu interpretiert. Das Klangbild reflektiert Macht, Triumph, Verzweiflung und zum Schluss auch wieder Trauer.

Here, the story of “His Path in the Shadows” is continued. In contrast to the beginnings of the antagonist's origin story, this piece of music shows how the story finally ends in a great battle and the antagonist decides for the good side after all. To do justice to the battle, the music is correspondingly action-heavy. It rarely comes to rest and thus reflects the race against time. Many musical themes from “His Path in the Shadows” are taken up again and reinterpreted in an epic variant. The sound reflects power, triumph, despair and, at the end, sadness.

With this track my aim was to compose a piece which not only evoked images of medieval times, but that actually sounded like it might have been composed during that time. I'm not an expert on medieval music, but at the very least I think this one comes closer than any of my other pieces.

The name "Ad Domum Dei" is Latin for "To the House of God". The image, meanwhile, is one of a monk sneaking a drink of an alcoholic beverage. The combination of the track title and picture allude to the corruption in the church during the middle ages.

I hope you guys enjoy this trip back to the 1300s. Please use headphones!
