In honor of the late, great William Layton, I'm uploading these tracks so that everyone can enjoy these memories with me. William was the epitome of coolness, honesty, generosity. He always stood out among the crowd. He always knew how to make you smile and laugh, what to say when you were down. He had my respect. I looked up to him. And I am so grateful to God for all the memories I have with William Layton.

Now I wanna talk about this song lyrically for a moment. This song is not taking a condemning stance against addiction. I am merely asking questions about our - yes, OUR - addictive behaviors and the nature of humans and their natural desire to avoid displeasure by escaping through alternate realities such as games, movies, and even art, and living vicariously through any media. How that only feeds the cycle. Being a producer, making something or pursuing your passions and/or purposes, is really the only way out of the cycle, I think. Kind of the same as that old saying that you can't love someone else properly unless you have first loved yourself.
