Hi I'm Rick
I love playing guitar and composing music. I also enjoy audio engineering side of music. I've been playing a while now and I still have not figured out a lot of things about my instrument. I'm mostly self taught with the exception of what others have tried to show in jam sessions. I think I play way better live than I do in the studio; I really like playing free form live off the cuff. To me what's cool about that is instead of giving to very structured environmental pathway through a song you have this almost weightless environment where a group of musicians can just Rock whatever they feel to a set of chords. There is plenty of time for structured environment during the recording process. Some of these songs posted here will vary in both quality of sound and ability. I think some are good and some are not so good. I have written hundred of songs over the years and these are what I think are the best ones. They feature the different musicians from the different bands I've been in, and once in while we would find a groove and write a song. The musicians obviously will vary on drums, bass and vocals with the song writing, guitar work and lyrics being by my effort. I do want to mention some lyrics were written by me and some by the vocalist at the time. I will comprise a list later on of who did what on these songs as a dedication to the Dudes who recorded them with me. I don’t think I should take all the blame LMAO! Most of the songs have been written between 1998 and 2015. I hope you like something of these songs and thanks for surfing in here and checking it out.
