With this mix Heidi asks to please learn more about and consider donating to: I would love to highlight a new initiative called Synth Library NYC that I am helping to launch, together with the talented Brooklyn sound artist Cy X.  Synth Library NYC will open in May 2021 as a community education and music hub providing access to synthesizers, modular gear, recording equipment and other electronic musical instruments for people of all experience levels with priority access to BIPOC and those of marginalized genders.  Individuals will be able to ‘check-out’ an instrument and take it home for 3 weeks, just like one would borrow a book from the public library. Synth Library NYC also plans to have virtual and in-person workshops, synth meet ups, collaborative performances and other engagement activities to foster connection and help encourage those with less experience. We are grateful to be consulting with the founders of Fem Synth Lab in Los Angeles who have paved the way in this concept of community building, and Powrplnt, a network of Brooklyn artists dedicated to providing equal access to digital arts education, where we are currently residents. Cold weather have you feeling dry and itchy? We have just the fix here at Allergy Season: 3 tracks from Physical Therapy and Ambivalent aka PTA. After pushing their fast and funky techno sound on labels like The Corner and Wolfskuil, the duo finally make their way home to Allergy Season. On "INK" the pair coat crashing breaks with dubbbbbbed out synths (and have graciously included a "Beatapella" mix for professional Disc Jockeys.) "Cheap Soda" can be best described as "cowbell-driven techno," organic drums clattering beneath warehouse sized synth stabs. Applied liberally these tracks are certain to leave the dancefloor feeling fresh and friction-free!

“Depuis quelques temps l’équipe de Metaphore Collectif réfléchit à une façon de garder une trace de son histoire, de l’ancrer dans le temps. La crise sanitaire a précipité les choses lorsque, suite à une fermeture forcée, un grand appel à l’aide a été lancé pour sauver le Meta, leur lieu associatif, bastion de la fête libre à Marseille. Un appel auprès des membres de l’association, mais aussi auprès des artistes passés par la case Meta. La liste était longue, et ils ont quasiment tous répondus présents !
C’est ainsi qu’est né la compilation de 64 titres intitulée «Ici danse le peuple oublié».

Her highly lauded live hardware performances and vinyl-heavy dj sets have cemented her own place among NYC’s techno community and beyond.
