The Sun

The sky is fixed 
In moonlit eyes
Never asking why
Nor to know

And the sea tells the sun
Who asks the one
Where did I come from
And go

But who cares!
They cried
At the limited sky
Never asking why

To all those who care
And I guess
There’s not much  more

So shouting I sighed
To the men who cried
Always saying goodbye

When the sun begins to snow

Were null and void

And my brainwashed thoughts
That the enemies sought

From the beggars

So out on my own
Where Ive been trampled to the bone
That led me home

PRISON WALLS
 The prison walls speak
Of men who retreat
From all of the wrongs they have done
 
To spend all their days
In search of the grave
To spend it in search of some fun
 
As I will look from behind the walls I’m between
Am I standing on the outside or am I still living in dreams
 
There’s a scream down the hall
And bottles that fall
As the chaos amounts by mid day
 
And I remember the time
That I’d sit by the side
Of the river to silently pray
 
I don’t know where I’m going
But I know where I don’t want to be
And I’ve sure grown tired of roaming
Like a sailor that’s lost out at sea
 
In the morning
My head and my body will go
Down to river to wash myself off
And come up ready to go
 
If I am to worry
If I seem scared
I can wake up in the middle of the night
And long to find you there
 
Pack it in for the day
All the prison guards say
Gather your sorrow and blues
Don’t be alarmed
If you feel any harm
Cause’ here you have nothing to prove
 
The doors are always open
And the gates are never closed

TROUBLED TIMES 
When I was very young
My old man told me son
This whole world will put you to the test
 
But when things in life go bust
You must have the simple trust
That everything in life is for the best
 
It’s hard to stand your ground
When the wolves are circling round
Sometime I think I lack the strength to fight
 
But I remember my old man
Drinking beer straight from the can
Telling me that things will be alright
