These two songs were written about the peripatetic humpback whale named Humphrey, who entered the San Francisco Bay in 1985, then again in 1991. In '85, he traveled 65 miles up the Sacramento River, where he got lost. It took him three weeks to find his way back to the Golden Gate. In '91, he returned, and got temporarily stranded on the mudflats near Candlestick Park (S.F.). Where Are You Now is not a children's song, and Ballad of the WW Whale is not especially for kids either.
