Remixing an older song, as well as adjusting some of the drum parts to be a bit better/not as robotic. Probably still has some robotic tendencies, but it is what it is for a quick demo. 

Here's hoping I can finally get back to writing again, or at least publishing stuff.

A rearrangement of the classic first galaxy from "Super Mario Galaxy" titled "Gusty Garden Galaxy". This song is mesmerizing and immediately hooked me when I first picked up this game. It's truly a treat to listen to, and I hope this cover captures some of that spirit.

Muda Kingdom Rock - Cover

A demo of a videogame cover I've been working on. The lead tone was made by running a J. Rockett "The Dude" pedal through the 5150 III model from Kazrog/Thermionik.

It's a little rough, so this file may be replaced. 

Bob-omb Battlefield Rock

This game holds a special place in my heart, and while it isn't the best X series game, it does have some great tunes. Toxic Seahorse, for example, has an absolutely killer riff and lead line. X3 seemed to lead more towards the "riff", while X and X2 were definitely more of "lead and melody".  

This is a rough mix at the moment, and while the rhythms are solid, my guitar's tuning was acting up (for the leads). I may be using a different guitar to record the leads in the end, or I'll try some creative editing.

Also, this is using my baritone's new pickups designed by Lace Pickups: the Bill Kelliher Dissonant Aggressor set. They're absolutely crunchy in all of the right places, and quiet when need be. I can't recommend this set enough. If you need proof, the rhythm tracks are triple tracked with them.

Toxic Seahorse (Megaman X3)

A sorta doom metal cover of Goldeneye 64's "Egypt" level, a secret area that, as a kid, captivated my imagination. I spent part of a summer vacation trying to unlock it, and my work paid off. It's not my favorite song in the game, but it's up there (favorites would be either the theme or Cradle, and Frigate is a bit behind those).

I used Kazrog's OgreTuber for the hard panned guitars, and TSE X50 v2.4 for the "not quite panned" guitar (I used "Rescue" to widen it's stereo field). EZMix 2's Koloss Bass provided the low end.

Quick disclaimer: there are moments of feedback that might hit sensitive areas of your hearing if you have ear buds in or headphones on, so I'd suggest turning this track down a bit if you do use those.

I have had some stuff come up as of late, and a lot of stuff I've been keeping deep down came bubbling up (and I'm sure a lot of this is melodramatic to those that may or may not be aware of the things). I wasn't in the mood to work on stuff I had written, so after listening to some Giles Corey, I decided to try my hand at "dark ambient" music for the first time. I utilized a lot of ambient patches I had set up, droning notes, a condenser mic to pick up ambient noises and vocalizations, and had an entire track dedicated to picking up the 60 cycle hum from my guitar's coil split pickup (which led to some tasteful feedback).

This isn't a happy track, and I don't know when I'll get back there. For now, here's where my mind is at.

Drowning in the River Styx

This is a track I've been working on intermittently, and mostly in livestreams. It's something pretty different than my normal music, and I think this is a style I would like to revisit some day.

The equipment used is a Jericho Guitars Edge 8 Premium with Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi pickups (in a tuning I'm digging). All tones are from Kemper (guitar is ToneJunkie J-Mod 100, bass is WD - Rockbass clean). Extra ambient stuff made with Digitech Freqout and Earthquaker Space Spiral.
