Need For Mirrors - Lambo

Native to Czech Republic, Fodie didn’t grow up in a musical family or in a family where somebody would like music at all. After spending the last seven years in the European Mecca of not only electronic music, she succeeds to draw inspiration from the city’s many souls. It is without a doubt, that the absence of an early musical role model is carving Fodie as a selector until today. She doesn’t shy away from combining various genres of electronic music, her DJ sets are a form of an animalistic percussive ride full of energy.

In 2018 she got picked up by a young Berliner label – Polylog Arts – , where she fearlessly further widens the labels musical horizon. The first one of her wild releases is to be heard on the Zug der Liebe House Compilation 2019.

Trixter is one of the members of the longstanding Berlin drum and bass crew, Very Unimportant People (VUP). PRTCL & Xenon first had the pleasure of playing alongside him on the "Wem Gehört Die Stadt" demo last year and were impressed with the sound and selection he plays. We invited him to our March event with Amoss to show the Humanoid family what he's about before the Corona situation took hold of the club scene as a whole, but we look forward to inviting him back on another date when the situation has passed. Humanoid Podcast 008 w/ Trixter

Influenced by his older brother’s CD collection of 90’s Ninja Tune albums and artists like Wagon Christ, Amon Tobin, Björk, as well as drum’n’bass legends like DJ TeeBee & K, Goldie and Klute, Martin Hyca started collecting drum’n’bass vinyl in the late 00’s before finally stepping behind the decks for the first time as @djagem in 2012. Two years later he relocated to Berlin where he faced a not-so-unexpected problem: compared to Prague, pretty much nobody cared about his favourite Subtitles records in the city of Tresor and Berghain. 

Shortly after connecting with the Lauschangriff-based Physics crew in 2014, Martin’s new project was born: Blasted - an underground event series focusing on techy, deep and melancholic drum’n’bass, with a notable soft spot for the sound of late 90’s and early 00’s. Representing and cultivating a 

distinctive sound rather than following recent trends, Blasted has gained a solid position in Berlin’s drum’n’bass landscape and has been played by most of the local heroes as well as some of the nicest Czech DJs. 

In his contribution to the Dark Real Dark podcast, DJ Agem reaches for some rather forgotten records along with some true anthems. Running at below 170 bpm, the tempo of the mix might seem a bit too slow from today’s point of view; however, most of these records are actually pitched up! Bringing together tracks by artists like Babylon Timewarp and Psion, Omni Trio and Polar, Agem’s mix is a mysterious journey through distant valleys on the deeper side of drum’n’bass.
