The London-based James Dexter teams up with Denney for a slick three tracker on Steve Bug’s Sublease Records. 

Dexter had been producing quality house and tech for over a decade now, and his past few releases have seen him turn out for Bondage, Gruuv, Cyclic or Inermu, while Denney already released on Crosstown Rebels, 2020 Vision, Poker Flat and Hot Creations. 

With Denney co-producing the EP, we are treated to three perfectly-realised slices of contemporary dancefloor science. 

Katsu is a prime time groover, building a vibe through a deceptive groove and well judged vocal samples. Next up is For You - a crisp, rolling track with deep percussion and recognisably sultry vo- cal. Last but not least is This Groove - perhaps the toughest cut on the release, a surefire deep bomb built around tasty breakbeat-style percs and some wobbly acid touches.

The track "Slow" is a recent rework of his original from 2021 and is nowhere near as slow as the name would suggest. The two remixes included on the EP were announced as winners of the remix contest for Plastic City in October this year. The first remix by Monori gives the track even more rhythm and claps add a groovy touch. The other winner, Rode Zayas, delivers a much more accentuated beat which makes the track even more dancefloor-read as it already is.
The Ep with the rework and two remixes will be released on November the 5th.

Bondage Music present four new reimaginations of Sascha Dive's Beautiful People EP featuring some of Europe's leading artists. First up, Pornbugs take on 'Meditation'. Tougher drums, a groovy disco bassline from hell and sparseness set this remix out immediately. Sonics ebb and flow throughout conjuring up images of the sun rising after a crazy night out. Warm and inviting. Next, Italian Cristina Lazic applies her considerable talent to 'Beautiful People' featuring the vocals of 'Mr House' himself, Robert Owens. Again heading in a dubbier late night direction, her take is full of swagger and tension. Berlin-based Dilby is up next with 'Dub Chronicals 5'. Known for his deep tech mastery, it's no surprise this bristles from the off. Busy bass notes and sparse percussion leave acres of space for intricate sonic noodles and a cheeky acid line. Finally, Ukrainian sensation, Lola Palmer wraps things up with 'Late Night Up North'. A trained musician, and heavily influenced by House music heroes The Timewriter and Terry Lee Brown Jr., takes a bassline driven groove and subtly adds melodics to sweeten the vibe. Sascha Dive was last spotted on Bondage-Music earlier this year with the deep hypnotic pulses of ‘Dark Night’ on ‘Bondage Games 5’. So it’s fitting he returns with ‘Detroit Sunrise’ and, as sure as day follows night, it’s every bit as deep, pulsing and hypnotic as you’d expect from the Frankfurt craftsman…
His first full EP for the Leipzig label, we open with real talk. ‘Detroit Sunrise’ warms up with broad, swinging drums, rippling textures and a crucial spoken word sample every single one of us should consider. It sets the scene for two classic Dive deep adventures as both ‘Dub Chronicles #1’ and ‘Dub Chronicles #2’ both roll out with subtlety and understatement. Layered, absorbing and endless; timeless tools made for those deep mix moments of magic.
Last but not least, we end on an upbeat. ‘Ghostdancer’ takes more of a sprightly, light-footed note with an upward-spiralling arpeggiated riff, gentle ebb and flow chords and a light peppering of cosmic flurries. Sound Process is the pseudonym of the Argentinian DJ and producer Juan Goya. Having made his mark on the scene both at home and internationally over the course of the last decade, Goya continues to bring his vision of rough-edged house to the fore.

Here, he drops three new tracks on Steve Bug’s sublime Sublease Music imprint. First up is title track Sociopath, a tough, rolling track with a deeply infectious vibe. It’s stripped down to the bare essentials, leaving only a thick groove embellished with some dubby effects.

Forms of Love is cut from the same cloth - a track fully focused on the bare essentials - perfectly sculpted drums and percussion with restrained use of melody and pads to add texture.

Infoxication ramps up the intensity somewhat - a pounding kick and crafty hi hat interplay ideally, while a thick rolling bass and spacy arp synth add the drive.
