PREMIERE | Pardon Moi - Inside The Outside (Dombrance Remix) 2017

Calypso is the new label from Iñigo Vontier (Mx) and Thomass Jackson (Arg) which will focus on promoting latinamerican artists. With a solid background from both artists releasing on labels like Turbo, Correspondant, Gomma, Her Majestys Ship, My Favorite Robot and many more, Calypso promesses to deliver an inmersion into some of the best artists of the underground latinamerican electronic scene. 
For the first track on the B-Side Thomass Jackson gives us "Fantomas", a creepy funky track that will fit perfectly for Dracula's birthday with dirty vocals and misterious samples. The full release will also come wth tracks from Iñigo Vontier and up-and-coming producers Colossio and Mendrix both hailing from Mexico.
The first 12" will see the light somewhere in the beggining of June.

Mateo Gonzales. In Mexico, even children know his name. One of the most versatile Latin American producers, known for his monikers Bufi, Theus Mago and Sonido Phantasma, one of the co-founders of Duro Label, he released a huge amount of music on such labels as Electrique Music, Kitsune, Discotexas, Platino, My Favorite Robot, Turbo Records etc, he is one of the pioneers of the Mexican modern electronic scene.
This is not his first collaboration with Los Angeles  producer Missy Livingston aka Moderna (known for her work with Ghostly International), at the beginning of last year they recorded together a powerful EP on Chloe's Kill The DJ.

This time they are released on another French, Marseille's label La Dame Noir. The new EP includes 3 original mixes plus remixes from Sebastian Voigt and a remix from the Mateo Gonzalez himself under one of his monikers - Bufi, which we are happy to present to you today.
Moderna & Theus Mago - Tecno Misogino (Bufi Remix) - a dancefloor-worthy groove monster, anchored by a funky, but menacing bassline with vocal cuts and a catchy guitar loop, rework that bringing original into a chugging, low slung
prowler with raw biker disco percussion. 
Yet again here La Dame Noir have served up a fresh modern dark disco package that packs real heat. Enjoy

2017 saw the arrival of Pin Up Club here at the Bordello with a superb three tracker, Friends of the Vortex. Now the Dutch partnership are back. This time a quartet of tracks has been selected to produce The Forever Machine. The bold bars of Friends of the Vortex, the romantic rushes and soundtrack silhouettes are all present with new elements being introduced to further develop a truly unique style. Breathy vocals and melancholy are countered by warm synthlines in the brooding “Valis” before the lonesome “Is There Anybody Out There?” blooms into a daringly bright work of disco dimensions. Opening the flip is the title piece. Smouldering, “The Forever Machine” burns with quivering chords that rise ever skyward on a column of tight rhythms as lyrics spiral ever upward. “A Deepness In The Sky” is a perfect illustration of Pin Up Club’s ability to transform burgeoning sombre sounds into tempered elation, rumbling strings and fragile percussion intermingling for a heady finale. The compilation showcases what the label will release in 2019, with forthcoming EPs by new signees @HelloAzur , PoloCorp (half of French duo Polo & Pan), Birdee & French Toast, Uncle O, and exclusive tracks by Obas Menor (half of Rabo & Snob), YouMan, Love Will Say No, Moonlight Matters and more as well as edits and remixes by Purple Disco Machine and Yuksek himself.

Dark disco, deviant disco, neo disco, psycho disco... you can pick up just about any word to describe the sound of this new compilation, but for sure disco is the main influence. Disco is not only for poolsides or cheesy parties, as this label has long been proving.

Rodion is from Rome. Mixmag/UK called him the “new genius of Italian Dance music”.
Rodion makes extremely emotional freaked out electronic music that’s ahead of its time. Somewhere between the depths of cosmic music and synthesized funk, mixed with the dramatic melodies of Italian horror movies. Heavily influenced by soundtrack composers such as Morricone and Goblin, by the Japanese science fiction animation soundtracks of the 70’s and by classical music and balearic club culture, Rodion is fully tuned into the extraterrestrial beat.
In 2007 the boy from Rome released his debut album 'Romantic Jet Dance' on Gomma which became a favourite of DJs such as Prins Thomas and the DFA crew. During the last four years Rodion' singles and remixes on Gomma, Eskimo, City Slang, Bearfunk and MBdisco (where he remixed his majesty GIORGIO MORODER), brought Rodion's sound into the playlists of Franz Ferdinand, Erol Alkan, Francois K, Andrew Weatherall, Aeroplane, James Holden, Cosmo Vitelli and many others.
After collaborating on his 'For Ever EP' on Gomma (2010) with superstar crooners Louie Austen and Jeppe Kjellberg from Whomadewho
in 2011 Rodion released spacey 12" singles on Nang, Eskimo and Bang Gang DJs together with fellow club mates Bottin, Francisco and Golden Bug.  In 2012 it has been the turn of two exciting EPs on La Belle from Paris and Slowmotion from Berlin, made in collaboration with maestro Fabrizio Mammarella of Clap Rules (Tiny Sticks, Bearfunk, DFA) and the sexiest doner man on earth, Khan of Finland.
Rodion is also one half of the sweaty duo ALIEN ALIEN, together with Hugo Sanchez: in 2011 they released their debut 'Black Guru' EP on Slowmotion records. Their SAMBACA number quickly reached the kinkiest ballrooms all around the world, became a queer hymn and got featured in many compilations, including "Body Language vol.12" on Get Physical records.
Rodion played live and DJed in many of the best clubs around the world, from Moscow to Paris, from Berlin to Istanbul, from Mexico City to New York, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur.
So expect him to sooner or later visit a ballroom close to your hometown...
