Fraudulence is strictly not tolerated and will be called out by either The Fraudfather “Rodzo” himself, The Fraudification Squad, or both!

Rodney fully immersed himself in the San Francisco underground music scene upon moving to the city from Los Angeles in 2014. With a respectful understanding of the unique culture that exists around collecting and playing vinyl, Rodney pursued deeper musical knowledge and a fine-tuning of his skills under the mentorship of Tyrel Williams. His unwavering love for vinyl quickly extended into his life away from his decks at home, ushering him into working for Vinyl Dreams and RS94109; two of San Francisco’s most beloved record stores. Rodney recently moved back to LA and is already on his way to becoming an LA underground staple. 

This recording is an all-vinyl expression of love and appreciation for Detroit and the musical direction it's given him throughout the years. It was recorded with the inspiration of returning from yet another inspiring trip to the city filled with beautiful moments.

Currently LA based but formerly SF based, Rodney has been an integral part of SF’s tight knit underground scene. From working at some of SF’s finest record stores like Vinyl Dreams & RS94109 - Rodney's sound stretches far and wide and consistently educates the listener/dancer whenever he’s behind the decks with his deep off-kilter selections. This mix he’s contributed for tonight’s show is an embodiment of that.

California born and based DJ, Nick Moss, was formerly an integral member and creative contributor of Kosmetik, a music collective rooted in the vibrant underground queer music scene of San Francisco. Prior to the pandemic, the collective maintained a longstanding weekly residency at the iconic venue, The Stud, spanning multiple consecutive years. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as one of the co-conspirators behind Kosmetik’s pandemic-induced A/V mix series, KTV, which enjoyed a year-long broadcast on the Bay Area’s esteemed Fault Radio. Presently, he directs his efforts towards co-producing ‘Quiche,’ an open-air dance party that made its debut on the San Francisco scene in 2021.

Nick Moss crafts an enigmatic dance floor experience, guiding listeners through a captivating journey that seamlessly weaves genres and ventures into unexpected sonic realms. His unconventional blending of experimental and left-field selections lends an intriguing, almost mysterious quality to his unique and esoteric sound. From the pulsating dance floors of San Francisco to venues worldwide, Nick Moss’ DJ sets demand attention, leaving an indelible impression that lingers in the shadows of the mind.

In the past 15+ years of the journey, he’s dug himself in with residencies at numerous LA after-hour warehouse parties and local bars. He co-founded In The Neighborhood, a night dedicated to the party lovers. Collector and Seller of vinyl, AIRS RECORDS is located at storefront: De La Playa Records in Highland Park, CA.

Darone Sassounian is a DJ, producer, and compiler from Los Angeles. He runs the label, Rocky Hill. Sassounian focuses on bringing an array of sounds into the world - ranging from styles introduced to him at an early age, to sounds he sought after later on. Influenced by music made in the 70’s and 80’s, his goal is to approach contemporary audiences byclashing the old with the new. Styles ranging from disco, soul, jazz, international obscurities andvintage house, combined with his technical abilities, solidifying himself as a selector who fosters his roots and the community around him.
In 2021, Darone released the highly acclaimed compilation, “Silk Road: Journey of the Armenian Diaspora: 1971 - 1982” on Terrestrial Funk.
In 2022, he began releasing his solo projects and other artists’ work on his record label, Rocky Hill. Darone Sassounian focuses on releasing music on his label that has no boundaries and no genrespecifications. He focuses on releasing projects that have a raw approach to music, allowing expression in the best way he can without much pre-meditation.

With a residency at esteemed New York establishment Public Records and two Boiler Room sets under her belt playing with Madlib, Egon and Awful Records’ Father & Danger Inc, she also delves into underground hip-hop, Lovers Rock and UK gems. Chloëdees is a proven tastemaker expressing an eclectic sound guaranteed to bring a bounce of energy to any dancefloor.

Josh Cheon grew up in northern New Jersey, just outside New York City
where he spent his weekends dancing at goth clubs and digging for
records. He moved to San Francisco in 2006 and joined gay DJ
collective Honey Soundsystem from 2007 to 2017. His love of
underground ‘80s music pushed him to start Dark Entries in 2009, a
record label specializing in reissuing lost music from that era as
well as contemporary bands referencing those analog sounds.

Rodney has been DJ-ing for over 15 years and got his start in the San Francisco music scene. During this time, he was mentored by the legendary Tyrell Williams, igniting his love for playing vinyl, which led to him working for 'Vinyl Dreams' and 'RS94109', two highly regarded and beloved record stores in SF.

For the last 7 years, Rodney has been a key member in the LA underground scene as an individual, as well as part of many joint projects such as starting Elbow Grease with EG mastermind Dave Aju, a member of The Black Lodge crew, and Immortal Sin (just to name a few). 

Not only can you catch him at many events for his DJ sets, but also during his bi-monthly radio show on Mutant Radio-Tbilisi, called “The Rodzo”.
