The ever excellent MOTHER RECORDINGS serves up more club gold, this time from MARTIN WASLEWSKI. His CLOSER release features two tight tacks that prove he has a lush sense of house groove.
Waslewski is a German who grew up on hip hop and now having turned to house finds himself at home under the roof of labels such as Hommage, Monaberry and Heulsuse. All these playgrounds offer him a deserved platform where he never fails to come up with the goods, as is the case again here.

Up first here is CLOSER, six minutes of deep, feel good house music with romantic vocals and colourful chords. The beats are lazy and well swung and this one is perfect for summer parties and terraces this year. On the flip, COME TO ME is stripped back and more driving, with a tech edge to the beats. There is more great melody though, and some smeared synths that add a sense of scale and weight.

A little over 15 years ago we launched MoreHouse Records and with the guiding hand of our distributor, the iconic Soulfuric Records, we released our first single, “Inside My Soul.” Written and produced by Groove Junkies’ Evan Landes and featuring vocals from Solomon Henderson, the song gained critical acclaim and global support from a who’s who list of djs, radio programmers & tastemakers and literally put MoreHouse on the map.

Fast forward to the summer of 2017 (the 15 Yr. Anniv. of the singles release) when we were approached by dj / producer extraordinaire and Soulstice Records head honcho Mark di Meo who expressed a keen interest in doing a remix on “IMS.” Needless to say we were delighted! We’ve been a fan of Mark’s work for some time and have quickly become friends since he made the move from Italy to Los Angeles. Mark has been a fan of MoHo & GJs for some time as well and has always loved this particular song. The remix was a match made in heaven, pairing Mark’s deft production skills with Solomon’s brilliant vocal. The newly appointed Soulful House A&R manager at Traxsource has recently stated that “this is one of the most important projects of my life.” 3 months of hard work, hours and hours of live sessions and we’re proud to deliver Mark’s fantastic treatment of this truly authentic Soulful House gem. This is timeless ‘Classic House’ at it’s best. ENJOY!!

Glitterbox are proud to announce the second single from Horse Meat Disco and founding member of Sister Sledge, Kathy Sledge. Making an apt follow-up to the stunning disco hit ‘Falling Deep In Love’, ‘Jump Into The Light’ embodies the same uplifting qualities and signature strutting style. Co-produced by Classic Music Company boss Luke Solomon and Chris Penny, with additional music by JKriv, the nightlife champions enlist a gloriously funky bass, rich instrumentation and perfectly timed hooks for a perfect backdrop to Kathy’s unmistakable vocal. With subtle nods to disco greats like CHIC, Horse Meat Disco once again illustrate their impeccable knowledge of dancefloor dynamics. Pioneering Belgium-born DJ Aeroplane also provides a remix on the package. Drawing out Kathy’s sublime vocal, Aeroplane’s remix displays his signature nu-disco sound at its finest, as a bumpy, grooving bassline and playful synths give the track a clubbier feel to the original. This is another red hot delivery from the Horse Meat Disco camp and exciting preview of things to come on the forthcoming LP.
