Germany’s Koelle steps up to make his XYZ debut in alluring fashion. The classically trained musician out of Ingolstadt has made waves in recent years, with thoroughbred projects on the likes of Anjunadeep, Lane 8’s This Never Happened, and Needwant. The constant collaborator is joined by a stellar team on the Fall in Time EP, with vocalist Margret and producer Into The Ether each deeply involved throughout the release.

Koelle turns the dial as he takes the reins on a solo production. A boisterous synth steals the show, as its choppy nature and understated grit leave a searing impression. Margret returns to ask the question at the center of it all - Is it Love? Indeed it is.

Ich wünsche meinen geneigten Hörern ein erfülltes, gesundes und musikreiches 2018. Für die Musik werde ich auch dieses Jahr wieder mit tollen Künstlern sorgen … versprochen.

Für die Rauhnächte dem Übergang vom alten ins neue Jahr hab ich mir die beiden Stuttgarter DJs Nadelöhr & Tobias Sandmann ins Boot geholt. Den Termin für diesen Mix haben wir bereits im April bei einem Interview-Treffen für Afterhour Sounds ausgemacht. Das war ein äußerst lustiger Nachmittag und es ist doch immer wieder toll die Menschen hinter den lustigen Dj-Namen kennenzulernen.

Die beiden lustigen Stuttgarter haben sich auch mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und eine wunderbare entspannte, rhythmische und verspielte Reise zusammengestellt. Ich würde mal sagen so lässt sich das Jahr doch gut angehen. Danke Denis und Tobi für den Soundtrack zu den Rauhnächten und meinen Hörern wünsch ich wie immer viel Freude mit der Musik und lasst es ruhig angehen ;-)

About "Love"

If you say you love music by heart you’ll never be limited to one genre. We picture our tracks not only on dusty dance floors but also in your headphones when you’re driving home from work. We imagine you are sitting with your beloved ones next to a river and having a great time while your favourite music is played via a Bluetooth speaker. 
Depending on the situation, you may prefer a different kind of music genre. Our latest track “LOVE” is collaboration with the canadian country singer Colleen Brown, whose voice enchanted us right off. See we don’t want to determine our music to the genre of Deep House or Electronica but we do want to produce across genres, to explore our limitations. Our main goal is to slip music out of a machine into human skin. Colleen Brown breathes life into this tune when she sings about what it feels like to be in love.  

Furthermore, the track “LOVE” is for free. It has to be for free hence “LOVE FOR SALE” is wrong. Those who try to make money with this delicate emotion are motherfuckers. We just can’t support that.

Rody (Robert Jähnert) was born 1979 in Lauchhammer, Germany. Early in his childhood, he went to music school, where he learned to play drums. It was years later, when he first became interested in electronic music. His most important influences were Emmanuel Top, Dritter Raum and Prodigy. In the middle of the 90s he was in his element when he started as a Drum'n'Bass and Jungle vocal artist. With some friends he founded the Breakaholics and after moving to Hamburg, also founded the Elbdisharmonie party row. After 15 years of Breakbeats, he found new inspiration in Deephouse and Techno, where his friend and former band mate, Martin Stimming, was no stranger to the genres. In his job as art director, music contents became more and more important to him and he felt it was time to learn the basics of music production. He studied (Electronic Music Production) at the SAE Institute in Hamburg. Since then, he's been busy with deep kicks and melodic leads.
