This piece was written in 2016 as a response to my A level music composition brief entitled Noah's zoo. As the title indicates, my piece is based on the biblical story of Noah! In this recording, Noah's Zoo is performed by the Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra.

Noah's Zoo

Written for the sheer Joy of it in 2017, here is No Man's Land. It was originally a small band piece collaboration between myself and London tenor saxophonist Claudia Araghrez. I then took the piece home and expanded it for big band. I then workshopped  the arrangement with my county jazz orchestra (Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra GYJO). After some focused rehearsals we were able to include it in our end of term repertoire!

I'd say normally I'm more of an acoustic instrument person and that Jazz is my favourite genre of mussiicc. But recently after getting logic and taking classes for it at Berklee College of Music , I've started experimenting with a whole new sound world and ways of expressing my creative ideas. I have a tendency to make music and then hold onto it without sending any further. Here is me making a conscious effort to grow and counteract that!
