Longstanding members of Australia’s music scene, Brian Fantana & Ben Silver’s Not Just Me project saw the two DJs and producers combine under one guise last year to reveal their debut single, ‘Syren’. Returning to Thick As Thieves, the pair link up once again to close February with ‘Through The Blinds’, backed by a remix from Gruuv bosses Audiojack.

Combining percussive grooves and snaking basslines with haunting piano riffs, ‘Through The Blinds’ welcomes an impactful cut that can shift the energy of any room or festival in an instant, while Audiojack’s take sees the Gruuv head honchos and Crosstown Rebels regulars up the pace to deliver a soaring interpretation perfect for the peak hour.

Carl Cox & Commix remix Radio Slave’s ‘Stay Out All Night’

Initially released in 2020 via his own Rekids, ‘Stay Out All Night’ is one of Radio Slave’s biggest tracks todate, alongside timeless cuts such as ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, and ‘Another Club’. “Your Mind“ started as a tool mix that was made just for fun after playing the vocal in a b2b set with Paul Ritch at Awakenings. After the tool version was made it got road tested and the reactions were so huge adam & i decided to turn it into a full track. Together we teamed up to add more percussion, snares and a rolling acid line to complete it’s transformation into this massive techno bomb. 100% mayhem alert!

Naturally it was up to 1605 to bring the anthem of anthems to the spotlight once again and hit everyone where it hurts, with five completely different renditions.

Umek sets the record straight with a monstrous interpretation, ready to stand the test of times to come. The journey continues with D. Ramirez and his bouncing version, while Uto Karem goes the subliminal route. Roel Salemink (Intec, Bush, Awakenings)

When you grow up in a small place like Gendringen/ The Netherlands, there ís not much that will keep you busy unless you can find yourself an all- consuminghobby pretty fast. Roel Salemink chose to combat small town syndrome by developing his passion for music, spending his formative years obsessing over different styles of music.

By the early 90s he had become hooked on house, a habit he has never since managed to kick. After experimenting with various iterations of the genre he began to focus more on techhouse and techno, which to this day continues to be his greatest passion.

It was not until 2008 that Salemink seriously turned his attention to producing. It speaks volumes that his first ever release, techno tune Manalive, became an instant classic. Put out by the famous Bush Records, home to the likes of Carl Cox and Dave Clarke, the track spent a solid eight weeks in the number one spot on the Beatport chart. The track was featured on a number of compilations, including Carl Cox recorded live at Dance Valley, and Salemink's reputation was sealed. His tunes regularly receive big name support from the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Pig&Dan, Mauro Picotto, Marco Bailey and a whole host more.

In 2015 Roel Salemink and his partner in crime released their debut artist album on Carl Cox’ label Intec Digital. Also 2015 was a great year for this strong duo with gigs in Australia, Dubai, Awakenings, Nature One & Ibiza. They also had several strong releases on Intec and Bush records. Also the remix for Carl Cox & Eric Powell’s “Morrochan Chant” wis a big success. It was played by Carl at the biggest festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Miami and it was Carl’s most played track during his residency at Space Ibiza. For 2016 there are some big releases and remixes scheduled. The highlight will be the remix for “The Hitmaker” Nile Rodgers, who is behind a lot of great artists such as David Bowie, Madonna and Daft Punk.
