October 20th 2014 sees two rising techno talents Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink return to dance musics seminal imprint Intec to bring you their highly anticipated debut album entitled Crossing Borders. This outstanding 12-track offering comes after their acclaimed Priority EP release on Intec earlier this year plus a wealth of successful label releases from artists such as Nicole Moudaber, Harvey McKay, Tomy DeClerque, Carlo Lio, Mattew Jay, Mark Fanciulli and the imprints co-leaders Jon Rundell and Carl Cox. Crossing Borders has been specifically crafted with the dancefoor in mind and the aim to take you on an alluring aural journey though some of the worlds finest techno. This captivating long-player boasts many highlights, kicking off with its impressive opener AMF which incorporates slick drum programming, hypnotic synth lines and immersive percussive elements. The album progresses by showcasing a plethora of supreme club cuts including the moody tech-roller Bullet In My Head, the pounding peak-time dancefloor destroyer Clockwork and the albums sublime bassline focused title track Crossing Borders. Further high points include the powerful, tense and uncompromising Roaring plus the melodic synth-led future classic The Force which brings the album and mania to a dramatic end. Crossing Borders is a very confident and imaginative debut album from two incredibly talented and dynamic producers. When you grow up in a small place like Gendringen/ The Netherlands, there ís not much that will keep you busy unless you can find yourself an all- consuminghobby pretty fast. Roel Salemink chose to combat small town syndrome by developing his passion for music, spending his formative years obsessing over different styles of music.

By the early 90s he had become hooked on house, a habit he has never since managed to kick. After experimenting with various iterations of the genre he began to focus more on techhouse and techno, which to this day continues to be his greatest passion.

It was not until 2008 that Salemink seriously turned his attention to producing. It speaks volumes that his first ever release, techno tune Manalive, became an instant classic. Put out by the famous Bush Records, home to the likes of Carl Cox and Dave Clarke, the track spent a solid eight weeks in the number one spot on the Beatport chart. The track was featured on a number of compilations, including Carl Cox recorded live at Dance Valley, and Salemink's reputation was sealed. His tunes regularly receive big name support from the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Pig&Dan, Mauro Picotto, Marco Bailey and a whole host more.

In 2015 Roel Salemink and his partner in crime released their debut artist album on Carl Cox’ label Intec Digital. Also 2015 was a great year for this strong duo with gigs in Australia, Dubai, Awakenings, Nature One & Ibiza. They also had several strong releases on Intec and Bush records. Also the remix for Carl Cox & Eric Powell’s “Morrochan Chant” wis a big success. It was played by Carl at the biggest festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Miami and it was Carl’s most played track during his residency at Space Ibiza. For 2016 there are some big releases and remixes scheduled. The highlight will be the remix for “The Hitmaker” Nile Rodgers, who is behind a lot of great artists such as David Bowie, Madonna and Daft Punk.
