Song from Espirito Ancestral - Tributo ao Povos Nativos Americanos (Ancestral Spirit - Tribute to the Native American People) - a 2003 Scientia Una ethnomusic CD project associated with Via Interior label. A study on traditional north american indians aesthetics mingled with modern approach, trying to keep their sacreness sense even with modern music technology. This particular song is a created pray to the Creator, honoring Nelson Turtle (1930-2010), Cheyenne leader reaponsible for teaching the red way to us. Ma'heo'o means Great Spirit, God, Creator, Creation Spirit in Cheyenne indians language. In the past times some Cheyennes believed also that there was two kind of Ma'heo'o in balance: one from the Sky, other from the Earth. But the cult to one beyond ordinary reality Ma'heo'o overruled that of dialetical forces one and aproximated many Cheyennes to Christian transcendental conceptions of God, but keeping strong roots of their spiritual nature traditions on animal spirit guides, element spirits and dreaming as being as real as the awaken state.
