We no longer count the albums of Frank Rabeyrolles nor his nicknames`(Franklin, Double U)  It is undoubtedly to a completely different temporality that he dedicates his work as an obsessive and frenzied craftsman. With “A ghost by the sea” Frank plays with nostalgia of 2000 Electronica  and Retro futuristic soundscapes.
Deep Electronic textures and landscapes meet "Ambient" experimentations. This album returns with a new Psychedelic introspective instrumental vibe creating a link between elements like air, water, wind and interiority. Synths, indistinct guitars, crackling sounds  are working together creating an existential experience somewhere between tension, nostalgia  and peaceful feelings. Abstract passages are always connected to a poetic research and never try to be demonstrative.
It’s been produced at home with the help of Julien Josserand for the mix and mastering. Artwork is by French Drawer Thomas Dutter.`It ‘s released on Wool Recordings.

A ghost by the sea qui sortira ce 17 Septembre 20121 est la suite de Materia Prima sorti en Septembre 2019. Ce disque entre l’album et l’EP marque clairement le retour de Frank Rabeyrolles à une musique instrumentale Electronique tissée autour de nappes et de strates. Au cœur de ces 6 morceaux se joue une tension entre intériorité/ extériorité, chaos/ plénitude. Chaque morceau est relié à un tout organique et à une recherche Poétique . Les instruments que ce soit les Synthétiseurs ou les guitares sont le catalyseur d’un désir de décrire un monde à la fois empreint de réminiscences enfantines, mais aussi en devenir perpétuel, un monde mécanique/ organique qui échapperait à son créateur dont on ne capturerait que des sensations fragiles et qui nous renverrait à notre modeste condition, à une forme de nudité. On l’aura compris A ghost by the sea et ses plages qui s’étirent lentement dénuées de repères rythmiques classiques tient plus d’une déambulation sonore  que d’une démonstration calculée. La musique de Frank Rabeyrolles n’est pas là pour prouver, convaincre mais suggérer un espace sensible et fragile qui aime se dérober.

On ne compte plus les albums de Fran(c)k Rabeyrolles ni ses pseudos (Franklin, Double U ) à quoi bon d’ailleurs? c’’est sans doute à une toute autre temporalité qu’il voue son travail d’artisan obsessionnel et frénétique, un autre monde détaché du réel, du sujet, et plus tout à fait connecté . Alors à quoi faut il s’attendre à l’écoute de ce nouvel EP ?
 Des percussions légères, des guitares claires et réverbérées, une Pop  fantasmée habitée par de lointaines réminiscences, strates, traces d’un voyage intérieur/ extérieur clairsemé de voix éthérées .Une quête inachevée, insoluble, le manque, la frustration, l’impossible retour voici donc les principes moteurs de la musique de Franck Rabeyrolles

Don Rogall has been part of creating various new music movements for 3 decades with incomparable artistic freedom, delivering the soundtrack of subculture in over 120 venues in his town Berlin and over 100 genre-defining clubs in 18 countries all over the world. 

From the jazzier beginnings in the depth of Rare grooves to sampling culture and the avant-garde of 90s electronica & Headz to Raves & House, Dub, Drum'n'Bass and all types of breakbeats to various live-sound systems. 
He is heavily into the early beginnings of DJ roots of 50s and 60s music based on Rhythm, Blues, Soul & early Rock'n'Roll, as well as punk-culture to many influences from around the globe and a passion for Exotica music and soundtrack related stuff. 

Don has contributed to Arts Festivals, created soundtracks for his own Burlesque, Variety & Circus Sideshows, as well as many fashion shows of established designers, programming playlists for corporate, bars, hotels, performing artists, mixed sound for motion pictures, taught upcoming artists and DJs (also at the Berlin DJ Music Academy) and had countless own releases in various musical genres with several bands. With one of them, Nylon,  he headlined the German Spiegel magazine for modernizing German music. 
The creativity is flourishing. He was an original member of the label-trust Sonar Kollektiv in '97, one of the biggest independent publishers from Berlin and produced one of the labels most successful acts, Micatone, among others. 

Don produced & moderated about 200 radio-shows for different stations and curated festivals at the Volksbühne Berlin. He worked as a booker and Dj at many influential clubs, held residencies at Bassy Club, Delicious Doughnuts, WMF, Cookies, Maria, Lovelite as well as playing at other legendary venues of all sizes and genres like Mojo Club Hamburg, Tresor Berlin, E-werk Berlin, Distillery Leipzig, Batofar Paris, Stammheim Kassel, Dachkantine Zürich, Home Sweet Home New York, Mercati Generali Italy, White Trash Berlin, Festsaal Kreuzberg - and was in the line-up at Big Chill Festival England, Sonne Mond Sterne Festival, Printemps de Bourges France, Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Volksbühne Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Urban Jazz Festival Bremen, Zeltmusikfestival and many, many more. 

In recent years, with the secret Phantom Islands Heritage Society, he created the growing series of Hoochie Koo, one of the most original club nights in Berlin.
