08 - Nose In And Nose Out

This album is a collection of tracks culled from a series of spontaneous improvisational recordings made throughout 2018. Each track was recorded live onto a single stereo track in one take, starting with and guided by a simple undeveloped idea, riff, pattern, sound, or chord progression. Tracks are edited only for time. Goals in the recording process were: to focus on rapid-fire development of basic ideas; to allow music grow without forcing complex ideas; to avoid floundering in production details; to progress soloing; to experiment with new sound worlds; to stay creative and not analytical (left brain vs right brain); to enter a meditative flow state and let the notes fall where they may.
