La Mar are a Sydney based, two piece electronic project who’s music hinges on the relationship between singer Dylan Wright, and keyboardist / producer, Andrew Grant.

The duo spent a large part of this year writing and finding the foundation for their music and collecting sounds, such as Grant’s dusty old FenderRhodes that kicks off their debut single, “Anchor.” The mixdown on “Anchor,” was delicately handled by producer Craig Wilson (Flume, New Navy, LDRU, Yahtzel), at the legendary, REC studios.

The EP finishes off with Mazde’s tasteful spin on “Anchor,”
in what sounds less like a remix, and more of an interpretation of sounds. Following “Shifted Thoughts,” Mazde carefully creates a unique track, appealing to only the most cultured of ears.

Seeing through the creative process right to the end, Jack Vanzet aka Thrupence (Future Classic) did the stunning oceanic cover art.

Your musical journey through the 'Arcanum' EP ends with 'Coda'. A two-parted dance tune, inhering modern urban club influences as well as links to half-forgotten themes of dusted disco. Although this piece holds a story of his own, it marks the luminous ending of something greater we simply named 'Arcanum'.
