Darius Syrossian's MOXY MUZIK builds on its early head of steam with another high quality release that proves peak time club music can have a real sense of soul. It comes from the boss himself with remixes from Tommy Vicari Jnr and Christian Burkhardt. This innovative new label launched to a great reception with the first EP from Darius Syrossian getting support by the likes of Laurent Garnier & many more djs including Derrick May on his recent Boiler room. The remixes from the likes of Man Power and East End Dubs were also well received. The label has also started a series of all night long tour nights around the UK and Europe, with the first three shows in London, Manchester & Leeds all being sold out shows.

For the labels 2nd release, Darius delivers yet another Dancefloor destroyer with lots of soul, this time with a Disco flavoured cut, the track 'Unnamed 3' was only five hours old when Eats Everything played it on his BBC Radio 1 Show. It was so fresh out the studio that it didn't even have a name and that is how it became to be called 'Unnamed 3' 

A deep sub bass & driving kicks power the track forward and crisp disco stabs littering the track in all the right places. Tommy Vicari Jnr is next to remix and is an artist with more than 15 years of experience of releasing on the best labels of the day to draw on. His timeless style reworks the track into a lush deep house affair with layered pads and hypnotic chords which give the track a dreamy feel. As such this is one of those trademark Tommy Vicari Jnr productions that oozes class, and it's one for those that like real house music. 

Next to remix is Christian Burkhardt, a long time tech tastemaker who has produced for labels such as Cocoon / Cuttin Headz / & many more quality underground labels including his own Christian Burkhardt Sessions. The obsessive producer shows his meticulous craft with a version that is on a more minimal vibe with slick drums and pounding kick drums that give a peak time set feel, but that retains the disco flavours enough to add some spice. This is another unique release from MOXY MUZIK that brings plenty of fresh ideas and lasting emotions to the dance floor.

After teaming up with Jamie Jones to release ‘Rushing’ earlier this summer, Darius Syrossian returns to Defected for his latest musical output. ‘Come On Come On’ sees the DO NOT SLEEP resident flex his musical muscles by exploring a range of influences throughout, engineering the same soulful vocal sample to provide two genre-defying cuts. Opening with ‘Kouka’, a track that rumbles through with its intensified bass and tension building drops set to rock the most intense of sound-systems, while the vocal interlude at its centre adds diversity and intrigue. This is followed with the title track, where Darius delivers a dose of upbeat driving house, with a rubbery bouncing bassline and a chopped-up version of the vocal, delivering serious end-of-summer vibes. By exploring a number of avenues of sound with the same sample, ‘Come On Come On’ shows Darius’ breadth of musical knowledge, with a release that will keep a crowd on their toes.

Already building an impressive catalogue of releases across imprints like Snatch! and Repopulate Mars, it might surprise you that Sorley only gave up his job as a Civil Servant a month before his DFTD debut ‘Deadeye’. With the track already catching the eye of tastemakers like Michael Bibi, Latmun, Solardo and Danny Howard this chunky, bouncy club cut is set to dominate dancefloors over coming months, with a hypnotic vocal and bounding bassline that instates Sorley as a new force to be reckoned with.

Since launching in early 2019, Dennis Cruz and Eddy M's MÜSE imprint has quickly seen the pairing curate one of the scenes most impressive rising labels - welcoming the likes of Tube & Berger, Piem and Alan Nieves alongside rising talents including Gruuve and Bizen Lopez, whilst also serving as a key outlet to release their own productions and material. Hot on the heels of Cruz's latest stand-out EP, 'KMA', early-August welcomes the debut split EP offering on the label as both co-founders return alongside one another for the very first time to serve up the twotrack 'Show Me / Five'. 

Eddy M's 'Show Me' opens proceedings with authority as the Barcelona-based DJ and producer combines crisp metallic drum lick atop of driving low-end tones and escalating lead lines to deliver a high-energy opening cut, whilst Cruz's bubbling 'Five' employs trademark hooky vocal samples alongside menacing basslines and icy hats to showcase a rolling cut typical of the ever-impressing Spaniard.
