Blending organic sounds and traditional instruments with electronic textures and trippy synth lines, this eclectic release spans from downtempo electronica to atmospheric deep house with a melodic groove.

Each year Sabo collects the finest tracks he can find from across the world and releases them on the day of the summer solstice, which is the year’s longest day of sunlight.

With a tight knit family built around the label, Summer Sol is also a welcoming party for many of the artists who are joining the community. Those making their Sol Selectas debut this year includes the likes of DJ Chus, Balam, La Payara, The Scumfrog, KÖNI, and Depart.

It also welcomes back familiar faces such as Dandara, Amine K, Giovanny Aparacio, Mula, Amentia, Chambord and Sabo himself as the party host.

Under the sun's rays we are all equal, regardless of skin colour, gender or sexuality, and this release is a celebration of the music that overcomes diversity to bring people together.

Each of the tracks have their own story and is a little ray of sunshine to warm the mind, body and soul. This year’s release features tracks with roots in Mexico, USA, Spain, Mali, Turkey, Colombia, France, Argentina, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Ukraine, Chile, Netherlands, UAE, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Armenia, and Australia.

Separately each of the artists on this EP has featured on other labels such as Get Physical, Bar 25 Music, Akbal Music, Cosmic Awakenings, Pipe & Pochet, Magician On Duty, A Tribe Called Kotori, 3000 Grad Records and many others of equal note.

The music drifts from coast to coast, across several mountain ranges, deserts dunes, and salty oceans, spanning years of generational influences. The tempos, melodies, and rhythmic combinations take us from chill out, to groove, tribal, afro, and to deep. We hope this music inspires, and carries you on a worldwide tour.

The artwork by Helia Jamali takes us to a parallel dimension lit by the frequencies and energy of the SOL.

Conceptually, Lannka’s Alhambra E.P. is an auditory transposition of the imagery of Spain’s Andalusia community and a self-assured stride on the pursuit of his own organic deep house aesthetic. 
With folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms taking inspiration from the mosques, minarets, fortresses, and flamenco traditions that signpost the region’s rich history of cultural exchange, the four-track E.P. is analogous of Lannka’s own musical identity: “Every trip is a transformation where I meet different artists from different cultures — all different people but all connected together somehow in my head.” 
Two such souls make appearances on the release: Satori’s title track mix draws from elements of the E.P.’s previous two tracks, “Daraxa” and “Mexuar”, to trance-inducing effect, while Derun’s remix of “Daraxa” brings a touch of contemporary Istanbul.

The 155th release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Fashion Victimz to the label for a brand new EP. Hailing from Israel, Mark Finkel and Viki Makrianis are well known DJs in Tel Aviv's burgeoning club scene. As a production duo they've racked up discography credits on esteemed labels such as Dear Deer and MNL. Now making their much anticipated debut on Movement Recordings the duo present their latest studio creations 'Conga Conga' and 'Jungle Bells' alongside remixes from Dousk and Simos Tagias. 

The aptly coined 'Jungle Bells' leads the release off with a warm, tribal infused groove and a delicate bell motif. Fluid bass swells rise, pushing the momentum forward as a storyboard of cosmic instrumentation begins to take shape. Squirrelly and wholly satisfying it leads to a short but timely break before a powerful drop resets the groove for a musically inspired finale. The companion piece 'Conga Conga' follows suit nicely with a cross cultural narrative wrapped up in an airy atmospheric resonance. Distinctive vocal elements and elegant musicality lie at the core of the piece while clattering congas work their magic across the seven minute journey. 

The lone interpretation of 'Jungle Bells' is provided by Movement Recordings artist Dousk. The Greek producer is fresh off his 'West of Dub' EP for the Greek imprint which was released amidst much praise one month ago. Always a creative remixer Dousk injects his own brand of cosmic funk into 'Jungle Bells'. Electric and edgy, it's a trip into mutoid tech-grooves, fuzzed out synths and hypnotic bells, highlighted by a two minute interlude to fully captivate your dance floor.

The release concludes with another member of the Movement Recordings family Simos Tagias providing the lone interpretation of 'Conga Conga'. The Greek artist recently remixed Movement label boss Tash for Soundteller Records and also owns releases on Sound Avenue and Sudbeat. Now closing the release out in style Simos takes 'Conga Conga' into dreamy progressive house territory with great results. The main elements translate nicely over a voluminous groove while a strong rhythmic core and cascading motifs drive the piece to a euphoric finale. A massive remix from Simos and one that sounds tailor made for the sets of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren.

Following previous impressive releases on Crosstown Rebels and sister label Rebellion, Armenian talent DAVI presents another fine display of his artistry on the spellbinding Lie Machine. Hot UK pairing Gorgon City bring their distinctive energetic brand of house to the remix.

Lie Machine opens with a delicate rhythm of bongos, combined with an undercurrent of murmuring bass and deep piano chords. The tension is built, before the introduction of DAVI’s soulful vocals and glistening synth, telling a melodic and emotive story of heartbreak. UK duo Gorgon City control the remix, adding their unique blend of addictive bass-driven house to the original and demonstrating why their sound has gained such global popularity.
