Was ist das nur für ein Genre .. irgendwo zwischen Psybient, Techno und Downtempo - es klingt jedenfalls verdammt gut <3

Magnificent colors that wind and rotate, changing their unique shades. Nature that shows its hidden beauty - in fractals, wacky geometric structures and tiny, yet obvious details. 

And this beautiful music. Mesmerizing. Perfect to enjoy the moment to briefly get away from everyday life. 

With a good amount of steam, LiquiXX serves us his dream fantasy here. Rolling booming bass lines are Jan's trademarks, plus these damn smooth tempo changes. What kind of genre is this.. somewhere between psybient, techno and downtempo - whatever it is, it sounds damn good!

Live recording of this magical Friday night of Afrika Burn at Dreamers. I was playing after @seth-schwarz and the atmosphere was already electric! But then what an incredible 2 hours ride under this beautiful stretch tent of Dreamers. Full of familiar faces, news ones, best friends, my love and this crazy energy all around! Thank you! Real inspiration <3
I am still blown away by that moment and hope you will enjoy the set! 3 years after the last Afrika Burn it was so so good to be back. Always so special to share this experience all together, far from everything. I received so much love during this perfect week.

Afrika Burn 2022 @ Dreamers (Friday Night) Live Saxo

Last Christmas, @aalsonmusic released as a gift his incredible interpretation from Interstellar's Theme.
Having thought of doing a live version of it for some time, yesterday I decided it was time to do it.

This month on Deed Music we are proud to debut a single track by another stardust, Tel Aviv music artist Lingam(IL). At the age of 3, Yoni lost his hearing (15%) in both ears which allows him to listen and interpret sounds on different levels. 

The Green Road is created with a minimalistic touch in the infinite realms of house music. Crunchy drums and solid groovy bassline creates a flying carpet for that allows the audience to flow within this infinite endless green road! 

To make things more exciting, we asked one of our top remix artists Haoma to give us his interpretation of Lingams work! He has created a remarkable rework of the original, maintaining the minimalist approach, just as it supposed to be!

It took me one month to fully reflect on my experience at Burning Man..I played more than expected and nearly every day for Decadance, Hot Stuff and Sacred Cow camps. I played according to the situation, the mood, the heat and the many sand storms!..varying downtempo with more upbeat tunes. These different emotions led me to record this "post-mortem" set which is a mashup of different tunes I played on the playa. Enjoy!

What a special moment it was to open the dance floor for our dear Le Petit Paris on Tuesday afternoon. It was an immense pleasure, especially this year, as I was staying with this incredible family.

The CREATION theme of AB this year was all about this. Create from scratch, create from dust, create from nothing, create all together. Create a dancefloor! And what a year it has been!

This was my first set of the week, and wow, the energy was already on point! Thank you so much to everyone who danced, jumped, screamed, and sang. It moves and inspires me even more.

In the middle of the set, the Champagne started to flow (you can hear the bell in the background), and our week was definitely starting. Special thanks to Ghislain, who started sketching me during the set!

AfrikaBurn 2024 - Rogue Fire  @ Le Petit Paris - Opening Tuesday Afternoon (Live Saxo)

As far as I remember, The Spirit Train has always been associated with AfrikaBurn for me. In my first year there, 2017, the party in front of the Hauptbahnhof was mind-blowing. What a memory imprinted forever in my mind! Since then it has been one of my favourite art cars.
So having the honour to play on the Spirit Train, at AB and in front of the Tree of Stories on Tuesday night, was extra special. It meant so much to me and it was such a pleasure to curate powerful tracks for this special moment.

After the first track, I was totally in the now, flying with this huge train embracing the crowd, feeling the intense energy rising and being inspired. This connection is so precious  and allows me to flow while I transcribe this energy with the sax. And I couldn't stop dancing, jumping and enjoying every moment at 100%.

I can't thank enough the whole Spirit Train crew for this unique memory and all their dedication. And to all the lovely dusty souls for dancing to my beats, thank you.
I hope you will enjoy reliving it.

Max aka Rogue Fire presents us today with his recording from last year's Chateau Perché Festival. A mix made for the hammock and beyond. An absolute gem and timeless afterhour sound.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

 It all started when I was 8 where I began to play the saxophone as well as study classical music. In my teenage years, I was strongly influenced by hardrock and metal.  In 2007, after seeing Daft Punk live in a festival in Chicago, I was drawn into the electronic music world.  I began DJing in 2010 experimenting with various electronic styles. That diversity led me to a style of deep and powerful melodic music. Four years ago I began incorporating the Saxophone in my sets. Jamming on top of the tracks to create emotional hybrid sets.

✔️ What makes good "afterhour"?

After a good long night of dancing and partying. The daylight is back and you lose track of time. Silly moments arise and lots of laughs with your dear friends. Then, you are ready, and the music softly transports you to new unknown shores.

✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

It was my first time playing on a chill stage at a festival, and of course a different approach to what I normally do or prepare. So it was really interesting to explore this direction of a more downtempo/chill set. And it's a pleasure to actually have opened this door that I now really enjoy.
     
✔️ What was your experience of the set you recorded?

It was the first time I was sitting down while playing. It felt more like an intimate concert. The big stretch tent quickly filled up. It was the first afternoon of the festival on Friday afternoon, people recovering from the night before. And on the first notes of Saxo the magic started to happen. I guess people were not expecting it. It was so touching to see the reactions of the crowd on some tracks or remixes. The set was a beautiful and soft ride that gradually built up. Well I couldn't resist standing up for the last track ( that is actually unreleased and it was the first time I was performing it. It's called "Song for T" and is dedicated to my dear love, Teresa. So it was really a special moment). And then it was great to be asked to do a "rappel"(one more track). A big thank you to the listeners and chillers who stayed the entire set, for their beautiful energy and cheering, and especially to Gaetan for inviting me to play at "Glory Owl" and to Château Perché for this amazing festival. Can't wait to be back in a month ;)
