„Who do you want to please?“ A question that seems to be immanent for most of us answered by Foreign Guest in his „Wem“ EP in a musical way. We are continuing to expand our repertoire being proud that this EP comes with three terrific remixes by the likes of Perel, Steffi & DYN. The Berlin based art network and platform ‘ROH’ starts its first own music label. After positioning themselves in the berlin nightlife with several outstanding events, combining the force of interactive light installations, visual arts and electronic music, ‘ROH’ is now more than proud to present its first release: PHASE eins.

The first release showcases four of five current musical projects of ROH. Being exclusively created for this project every alias gets represented with two tracks. We are looking forward to present you every single project in the future with own releases. Ampère, DYN, Lumen and NOx come together for the first ever output.

Apart from releasing ‘PHASE eins’ on all digital platforms we offer some black gold as well. One track of every artist can be found on the record. 12” for your pleasure. 

Soundwise the artists express their current favorite sound enjoying the liberty of being free from any other alias or project, expectations or boundaries. ROH is proud to present it’s second release by DYN. The four track EP impresses with love to detail varying in style and approach coming with a brilliant remix by Radiant.
With „You And Me“ DYN has created an uplifting yet intelligent sound merging vocals and a breakbeat to perfection. In contrast to that the EP name giving track „Diatom“ fuses dub elements and a powerful groove to a wonderful piece of harmony. The Radiant remix has a more dark approach adding acid elements without losing the idea of the original. Rounded up by „2020202“ sounding authentic and refreshing at the same time DYN manages to combine his thoughts with various sound aspects that represent his sentiment.

We are an independent platform that allows upcoming artists to collaboratively experiment with their individual expertise, styles, and mediums. It is our goal to explore the interface between the visual and audiovisual worlds through interactive installations and other outputs. Not only do we wish to create new ways of creative experience, but also to reimagine the dialogue between cre- ators and recipients. In this vein, our platform is a cultural breeding ground for emerging talents to foster unhinged imagination and incubate their breakthrough concepts.
All five Berlin-born founders are passionately working toward this vision while working for prestigious creative companies such as Innervisions, M-nus, Mood Music Records, Studio Olafur Eliasson, and Studio Aisslinger, as well as working for a wide range of clients in the creative industry in their own studios.
To bring our vision alive, we also founded ROH Music. The idea behind our very own music label is to give artists space to experiment. To provide creative safe space, we assign an alias to every artist under which their productions can be published. The approach follows our philosophy being unhindered and free of expectations.
