English translation of the Farsi couplet:

 the Urdu ,Arifana kalam “Dil me jab me ne wo sanam dekha” by Nasiruddin Hunzai describes the unity of a slave and the master where he finds himself no more but within his beloved. The luminous vision of the beloved was the most fascinating experience and was a confluence of existence and non-existence. That state revealed the secrets of lawh (the guarded tablet) and the qalam (the pen). In this ecstasy of melody and wine of soul one experiences all zir u bam, the low and high, the up and down. The circle of darveshan were able to see that after the light of the Prophet was dawned upon them.

यह धुप किनारा
शाम ढले
मिलते हैं दोनों वक़्त जहाँ
जो रात न दिन
जो आज न कल
पल भर को अमर, पल भर में धुआं

इस धुप किनारे पल दो पल
होंठो की लपक, बाहों की खनक
ये मेल हमारा
पल भर को अमर, पल भर में धुआं

जब तेरे समंदर आखों में
इस शाम का सूरज डूबेगा
सुख सोयेंगे घर दर वाले
और राही अपनी राह लेगा

Ye dhoop kinara, shaam dhale
milte hain dono waqt jahaan
jo raat na din, jo aaj na kal
pal bhar ko amar, pal bhar mein dhuaan

Is dhoop Kinare Pal do pal
Hothon ki lapak, baahon ki khanak
yeh mel hamara
pal bhar ko amar, pal pal mein dhuan

jab teri samandar aankhon mein
is shaam ka suraj doobega
sukh soyenge ghar dar wale
aur raahi apni raah lega.
