Founded in 2005, Cornell Big Red Raas is a competitive Raas/Garba dance team. Raas/Garba is a traditional dance originating in Gujarat, India, but BRR revamps it with modern moves for a truly energizing and crowd-pleasing performance. Our team is committed to spreading the joy and vibrance of this dance both on campus and around the country. We have been to competitions all over the nation and have placed at the following competitions:

At home on Cornell's beautiful campus, BRR performs at numerous events and showcases. In the Spring, we also organize and host our very own Raas Showcase.

With over 30 members, the team has grown to be a strong competing force at the competitions we attend. But more important than our strength as a dance troupe is our strength as a family.
