‘’The Unseen One’ marks the debut EP from A Birth Defect on Wonderlust Records and is one of the most brutal, industrial, relentless Eps that we have ever dropped. With insane remixes from Kenny Campbell, OGUZ and Sumerian Ancestry, this EP showcases the darker side of the label and the direction that we absolutely strive for.



A Birth Defect is a Techno/Experimental project. Their inspiration comes from the belief in freedom of sound and expression. ABD’s sounds are an Amalgamation of Techno, Broken Rhythm’s, Industrial, Experimental sounds and a broad spectrum of frequencies trying to experiment with the sounds that may lubricate the souls of our civilization. Music is an experience, it never ends.

About VARUS:
VARUS, one of the founders of ÇARK, is a hard industrial techno artist based in Istanbul. In his sound, atmosphere plays a central role as a multidimensional concept that shapes sensory, emotional, and intellectual effects. He often prefers to use ominous and unsettling synths alongside harsh and shattering kicks. Irregular sounds buried beneath a steady 4/4 rhythm or unexpectedly shifting tones push the boundaries between familiarity and alienation. The atmosphere he aims to create is dominated by uncertainty and eeriness. He believes this aligns directly with the inherent uncertainty of life and the unknown nature of the future.
