A cover of Leslie Cheung's song, heard it when I was really little, touched my fragile heart ever since, such a beautiful song, a classic. 
So, I decided to record this song, a song that is close to my heart to end the year, or rather for this Christmas. Teared twice while recording it though, ya ya ya, I'm that fragile. 
Anyway, hope you guys like it.

Heard this song on youtube a week ago, and totally fell in love with the melody and of course the lyrics. Such a beautiful song, and had to post it today cause today is my last day staying in the UK, a melancholic song to put an end to the trip? No?
Well, its a song about hope too, hoping that everything goes well and will be back here 7 months later.

Recorded this song sometimes back, probably 2 months? 
This is probably the first song that I've ever recorded which I felt least connected to, guess that's why it took me so long to decide if I should upload it. 

Emptiness is the word I suppose.

One of the better recordings I've done myself so far. 
Locked myself up for the past few nights, dug out the most melancholy part of me, putting it into a song.
I'm trying to keep the recording as raw as possible, so very minimal editing work was done, can even hear my breathing in the solo violin track. 
Never been a fan of Jay Chou but this song has touched me, such beautiful melody.

I'm sure many of you have gone through whatever I've had, this is probably my own way of healing myself, digging out most of melancholiness in me, letting it go on a song, putting a good chapter in ife, so that it'll only bring back good memories when you listen again/look back, hope it does the same to you too.

As a dedicated and accomplished musician, Rohnie Tan, a versatile violinist and cellist has had a solid academic background in music. He completed his degree in Bachelor of Music (Hons) in Professional Music, Grade 8 (distinction) and Performing Certificate (ABRSM) in violin, and Grade 8 (ABRSM) in cello. Rohnie has been performing throughout the countries and represented Malaysia for many International Music Festival in Beijing (2006), Hong Kong (2008) and Singapore (2010). 

A regular performer in local music scene, he has performed with various artists such as Sheila Majid, Zainal Abidin, Najwa Mahiaddin, Adira, Jaclyn Victor, Elvira Arul, Zee Avi, Siti Nurhaliza, Mila, Ana Raffali, Bunkface, Estranged, Yuna, Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau, Rynn Lin, Bell Foo, Danny Wan Elvis Presley impersonator from United States. His versatility of being able to play classical, pop, jazz and even rock music has made him one of the most sought after violinist in the local music scene. 

He also sessions for indie bands such as An Hoenst Mistake, Rendra Zawawi, Metaphor, Izzy Mohammad, Rasdan Harith. Apart from live performances, he does music arrangement and recording for album production, film scores, commercial advertisements too.
