This album started out as a spiritual successor of "Tracing Rays" (Wil-Ru Records, 2013), an album that was constructed using meticulous sound design and processing. A similar approach was used for "Aˈkʷaː.ti.kus", but limited to one piece of equipment: a Nord Wave 2 performance synthesizer, processed with my digital audio workstation of choice, Renoise.

The track titles are in line with the aquatic album title, each of them representing a different zone in the ocean, in order of depth.

As the chords gently ripple through each track, the rhythms shift between various forms, deviating more often than not from traditional technoid drum patterns.

"I ritmi improvvisi del silenzio" is the debut album by "come le onde", the new artistic moniker adopted by Sardinian composer Andrea Porcu, formerly known as "Music For Sleep".

Suddenly, silence falls. A silence punctuated by natural and imaginary rhythms that resonate in our minds like powerful amplifiers of past, present, and future emotions. These rhythms move like waves, shockwaves that shatter like crystals and traverse through our sea of uncertainties. These uncertainties emerge and anchor themselves in a deep abyss, ever-changing and adorned with imaginary perceptions. These imaginary perceptions suddenly find space in the silence, and within the silence, they find the echo of suppressed cries and hopes waiting to be set free. And thus, hopes find liberation, "I ritmi improvvisi del silenzio".

In this album, we also find collaborations with two incredible Japanese artists, Satomimagae and Tatsuro Murakami.

"Massimo and Rocco have been friends since their teens. Both shared a sonic connection through active listening and the exchange of music in local broadcast transmissions. Rocco was increasingly drawn to post-punk, industrial, and dub, while Massimo has always been attracted to psychedelia and kraut sound, with an eye towards the East. After many years without meeting, they reunited at the Sound(e)scape music festival in Potenza in September 2023. This was the opportunity to create some compositions in the studio, which later culminated in this album.

The release of "Magnetika" is a sparkling improvisational exploration into the realms of ambient dub. A blend of exotic atmospheres, magical electronic voices, microtones, and subtle rhythmic ornaments. The result is a profound immersive sound experience, featuring 9 tracks of emotional soundscapes that are sure to touch the souls of sensitive listeners."
