Ossie joins the Madhouse Records roster late November with his ‘Unified’ EP, accompanied by a remix from Soulphiction.

London’s Ossie has been steadily carving out a name for himself over the past few years with an impressive run of releases on Wolf Music, Hyperdub, Exploited, 2020 Vision and somethinksounds. Here though we see him joining the roster of Kerri Chandler’s infamous Madhouse Records, a perfect home for the artist’s Garage-infused twist on contemporary House.

Title-track Unified leads, employing classic house tropes with choppy chords stabs, warm strings, dusty 909 drums and jazzy Rhodes licks all further fuelled by bubbling echoes and vocal murmurs tucked into the depths. Soulphiction’s ‘Classic Mix’ follows next, as the name would suggest the German producer delivers a classic slice of Deep House driven by the originals soft chords and vocals whilst stirring in jazzy organ melodies and robust drums for good measure.

Your Box then closes the package laying focus on bumpy snares, crunchy percussion and a bleepy 8-bit pattern while soulful vocals and lumpy subs carry the hypnotic groove throughout.
