The Abstract plays a mixture between avant-jazz, prog-rock and bitter-sweet "Hungariana", to name their very special Eastern European distillate of the far away Americana...

"Where Are we Going?" is the debut album of the trio "The Abstract". The album was recorded in 2018 and released in 2019.
The nine tracks invite to a colorful musical journey, where the listener might encounter some familiar perceptions during the 53 minutes of playtime. Some of the influences and genres are very pronounced, some are more layered between the rows and tones of the energic trio music. Still, "The Abstract" speaks to us in their own musical dialect. Enjoy!

"A Fine Line in Between" is the second album of The Abstract.
In many ways they continue the original path layed down on their first release "Where are we going?", but there might also be some different answers to the same question on this record. Their music is clearly influenced by jazz, free improvisation and rock. Besides the loud attitude of rock music, they seem to lean more and more towards the very silent forms of songs. These sweet inner melodies give an intimate tone to the sometimes rude outside and leave the original question "Where are we going?" partially open.
Hearing the playful, sometimes grotesque melodies, this is clearly an invitation to a journey you should join if you like.

Live '20 - as the title already suggests - is a document of our first live stream concert after a long break during the first corona restrictions in Hungary, 2020. Like most musicians, we couldn't meet and play together for several months and this event was the first chance to celebrate music and our reunion. We really enjoyed it!

The concert was recorded on the A38 Ship for the show "Hajónapló" in summer 2020.

The recordings have been remixed for this release.

Look At The Sky is a solo acoustic guitar album composed and performed by Roland Heidrich. His compositions are a mixture of several genres, including jazz, classics and free improvised music, although very individual. The tone and possibilities of the two exotic guitars he is playing on this record (16-string guitar and 8-string guitar) contribute a lot to the music and the uniqe sonic characteristics of Look At The Sky.

We did a minimalistic recording session back in 2022 mainly for fun and experimentation, but ended up liking the outcome pretty much. Coincidence is the piece we decided to keep - an all improvised saga, that reflects the mood of that very moment nicely and continues to live on not only as a memory, but in form of a single.
