SDZ001 ZEN-Core Sound Pack "Crystal Mood" - Sound Demo

The basic tracks for some of these songs were scattered through other music I had recorded over the last ten years.  Quarantine has given me the time to hear some of this music with fresh ears. In most instances dozens of instrument tracks were stripped away to find some forgotten core that made me nod or smile.  Then I started again.  All new recording has been done since the start of lock down and tries to put a sound on the subtle dislocation of a global disaster that is mostly (for me) expressed in my daily life as an absence, a taking away rather than a presence; a distantly felt thing.

JUPITER-8 ZEN-Core Model Expansion - Demo Song "Astralis" by  Novaline

This track is a radical re-imagining of Jhene Aiko's song 'The Worst'. I took the acapella of that song and made completely new music around it. I was inspired by the Be On It version of The Worst after seeing footage of the Strange Arrange festival. I would love to collaborate with singers. I could rework their tracks in interesting ways or I could supply singers with instrumentals and invite them to invent new melodies and lyrics to my music. The possibilities are endless.

The TR-606 Software Rhythm Composer is a detailed replica of the TR-606 Drumatix—an underground classic in the famous TR family of rhythm machines. The software version has the same sound and behavior of the original, plus powerful new features that virtually modify the circuitry for more sound choices and faster, more fluid programming.

Original TR-606 units are increasingly hard to find and sell for significant sums on the used market. Using our proprietary ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology, we’ve painstakingly recreated the original analog circuits that are the essence of the TR-606’s sound. Our plug-in sounds identical to the original TR-606—with all its nuance and detail—while adding new features that greatly expand its sound and creative capabilities for modern musicians and producers: 

- Tuning and decay on each instrument, plus the ability to overdrive the internal circuitry for fat and gritty new sounds 

- The classic TR-606 step sequencer, expanded with lanes for each sound to enable faster and more fluid programming 

- Each pattern has eight variations for evolving sequences that keep things interesting 

-Drag and drop audio or MIDI patterns from the plug-in directly into a project 

- Adjustable flams, sub-steps, and soft hits for creating detailed fills and ratcheted sequences 

- Each instrument has its own “last step” and shuffle settings, so you can play with timing, experiment with complex meters, and dial in just the right groove
